Has anybody every seen college b-ball team play 2 schools with essentially the same name and in a row no less? Do you know how confused I (and others I know) got when trying to figure out the TV schedule (Hard enough as it is anyways!) for Tuesday and today. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out why they would rebroadcast a game from Tuesday.

We have the Carolina sweep this year. Play South Carolina, South Carolina State, North Carolina, North Carolina State in the same season.

It's not the same team. South Carolina St on Tuesday, South Carolina today.

Only the Harvard student body can handle such complexities

The OP did have a good point that it was a bit of an oddity and I found it interesting as well...Unfortunately the results were not the same.

Happens in the Pac-12 all the time. They have their Thursday/Saturday road trips, so teams play @ Arizona and ASU right in row. Oregon/Oregon St, Washington/Wazzu...

Here's Stanford's Pac-12 schedule, for example:

How is this confusing? South Carolina State and South Carolina are two different schools.

I think he confused sc state and sc, sometimes a team will play another team twice, like Monmouth and Usc did last year. If you are scheduled in one of those tourneys, and schedule one of those teams, it just works out that way.

Could you imagine the confusion if we played Bullwinkle's alma mater, of Rocky and Bullwinkle fame that is? Anyone remember what school Bullwinkle attended?
