Maybe MCW would have gotten some run in the early second half if Xmas didn't have to be in because of the foul problems. But I can agree with JB in not wanting two freshmen out there in that situation. Remember MU was already on a big run when the half started and when Xmas went in, it was like throwing lighter fluid on the fire. So I think Rak may have cost MCW his minutes tonight.

Here's the MCW problem--lack of strength. The Marquette guards would have mugged him every time down court, and, as a frosh, he would not have had a friendly whistle. (As was just said by fan13.)

I haven't seen his lanky frame be any kind of a factor yet.

He is not as strong with the ball as he needs to be vs. BE guards, especially those that Marquette has.

I'm sure JB has reasons for what he does. He's been in the game for quite awhile. I think there is some Scoop hatred on here that's carried over from previous seasons. Even though he's a senior, I still expect to see Scoop improve throughout the season. Keeping Scoop on the bench too much could come back to haunt us when we need him later. These kids are human, and JB needs to find a way to keep them in positive spirits.

I actually think that MCW is the best Guard and maybe player on this team right now.

Here's a thought: how about supporting our players instead of tearing them down?

We're #1 in the nation--let's enjoy it instead of whining about who's playing what minutes. The players don't seem to have an issue with it--why should we?
