Sean Lewis

I’m jealous of Colorado right now. The excitement around their football team is astronomical.
College football is 90% recruiting. All the teams with the best recruiting classes usually end up at the top. The difference between a 5* NFL ready lineman and a mid tier guy is not even close, we know that first hand. When Prime gets the roster turned over they will be very good.

What do you mean? Colorado program is worse than SU.

I just think ppl will have higher expectations for that type of hire - right or wrong. Maybe not in year 1 but I think he will be held to higher standards then 6-6.

How often do D1 head coaches leave for an OC job at a bigger school? Maybe Lewis thinks a year with Prime will shiny up his resume for a bigger job.

The Prime Time loving media is a little silent on how he is completely gutting his beloved HBCU Jackson St and taking the talent he brought there with him. Deion won at Jackson St only because he had players that were way above the skill level of any other team he played. He brought in almost 30 P5 transfers to JSU the past 2 years. There won't be near that difference in skill level no matter how good he recruits. He went 3-3 his first season before his recruits got there.

It'll be nice for Colorado to be relevant again for a couple years even if they don't win.

And Boulder is awesome.

6-6 in his first couple of years might land him a bigger gig. Colorado have won 6 games or more once in 14 years. Coaches go there to fail.
Not anymore the transfer portal and NIL changes the landscape . You think Mike Zimmer is going there to fail ?

Sean Lewis (Kent State) as OC
Mike Zimmer (Vikings) as DC (still working on that deal I think)
Tim Brewster (former NFL and UM Gophers) TE
Willie Taggert (former USF, Oregon HC) as analyst
Andre Hart (former JSU) LB
Kevin Mathis (former JSU) CB

Solid evidence that Deion's recruiting skill goes beyond high school kids. And what kind of pocketbooks the Buffs have. Must own a few dispensaries.

Do you know the context of my response? Read the previous messages. You might have a better understanding of what I was saying.

There is a TON of media coverage on his exit from Jackson St. A TON. It's getting inches and air time all over the sports media landscape and some very nuanced and serious discussions. A lot of people are having issues with it. I'm not sure how you wouldn't have seen that.

All the best schools get the best players. UGA, Bama, OSU, Clemson, etc. I believe this is the first year of the CFP where Clemson and Bama were not participants.

Ya, maybe he can't catapult CU to a chip in three years, but he sure can get them out of the gutter, which is where they've been, get boosters to give tons of money and hire the right people as coaches and support staff.

Sean Lewis is going to a program that is going to have 24/7 media coverage and will do a better job of PR than almost any other D1 P5 school. Deion knows THAT part of it. And if Sean kills it, he's either going to ascend once Deion goes or get a big time gig. If he fails, who cares, he goes back to a mid level team or another P5 team as a coordinator. Win/win.

I think it might take more than 6-6 but agreed if he goes 8-4 or something, he will land another job, SEC.

Deion was interviewed on 60 minutes recently and admitted he would take a bigger job. It is nice what he did at JSU though.
