If Ohio State beats Michigan the Big Ten is getting 2 teams in the playoffs. If Michigan beats Ohio State then the Big Ten gets 1 team.
Alabama is in.
Clemson wins out in.
Ohio State beats Michigan and Penn State/Wisconsin winner is in.
It is a freaking opinion. How is it absolute? It is what I think it doesn't make it a fact. Please stop with the thought police.this is pretty absolute. Its college football and humans ranking teams so once you think you have all the answers, the college football world decides to change the question to make it interesting. You are correct that a second big ten team could sneak in since pac 12 is out of the mix. there will likely be 1 sec,1 acc,1 big ten and 1 spot open for 2nd big ten,2nd acc or oklahoma
I guess there's no argument if you describe to "H2H or Adios". But if you're ever going to be open to any nuance - the parlay of the H2H game being Clemson, and as close as it was, and that a fluke missed cheap shot saved them from another home loss - the case for L'ville is pretty easy imo. I'd probably have Clemson ahead of Washington tho.
I see it like this by the committee this week.
1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Clemson
4. Michigan
5. Louisville
6. Wisconsin
7. Penn State
8. Washington
9. Oklahoma
10. West Virginia

I am whiner no doubt but confusing my opinion with a fact is not what I do. I post in strong language. I get plenty wrong but just because I say myYour a good poster but man you are a whiner admitting your wrong isn't that hard
I'm open to nuance.
Overall SOS: Louisville 64, Clemson 30
Record vs. Top 10 teams: Louisville 0-1, Clemson 2-0
Record vs. Top 30 teams: Louisville 1-1, Clemson 3-0
And if you're going to count Clemson's near win against NC State against them, then you have to factor in Louisville's near win against a worse Virginia team.
I think it's eventually going to shake out as:
1) Alabama
2) Michigan/Ohio State
3) Clemson
4) Washington

So let's say a 2-loss Penn State team wins the Big Ten. Do they get a playoff spot over a 1-loss Ohio State team whom they beat?
I don't think so. If they did, they'd have as much success as MSU did last year.
Penn State is an 8-4 team in a wolf's clothing, just like MSU was.
An interesting scenario is if Ohio State beats Michigan. 2-loss Michigan would be out of the playoff picture, but Ohio State wouldn't win their division, Penn State would.

Best thing about this is that Michigan has to play OSU still, meaning that one of them will be out of the running after that game and it will be...New playoff rankings:
1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan
4. Clemson
5. Louisville
6. Washington
Clemson is in a great position even with their loss to Pitt. If they win out, they are a lock.

If Ohio state beats Michigan..,, does Louisville jump them?
