Back to the OP, no, I have not seen enough.
He looks shell shocked because he’s bad. he’s not bad because he’s shell shocked. He’s playing basketball, not taking fire in Kandahar provinceI take it at face value that he was a lot better during the summer and the preseason practices. We saw what he could be in the first exhibition game.
Something's not right. The guy looks shell shocked. I don't think he's this bad. But he might be this season, and minutes alone don't appear to be pulling him out of the tailspin.
At center for sure. Theoretically, we can get a good portal PG and develop the Australian kid.
I like the kid but I'd prefer a portal guard running the team. I doubt the Anthony's are going to be ok with that.At center for sure. Theoretically, we can get a good portal PG and develop the Australian kid.
SOCIAL CLUB???Anytime I think of Red I can hear Carlo’s voice saying “He’s gotta go!”
I would think they would want to be sure a proven portal PG is running the team. I think that's what you are saying too?I like the kid but I'd prefer a portal guard running the team. I doubt the Anthony's are going to be ok with that.
Yeah. Stoned brain.I would think they would want to be sure a proven portal PG is running the team. I think that's what you are saying too?
i think part of the issue is (and i think red stinks as a game manager but gonna defend him on this) the idea of one year contracts for everyone on the roster. You kinda have to go deeper than usual because everyone is capable of leaving or staying and it puts ridiculous pressure on the coaching staff to keep everyone satiated to some extent. hard to boeheim anymore even when it was in the best interest of the kid to sit and learn.I suspect we’re gonna know if this is the case over the next month.
For example, there’s no reason to start Carlos anymore. Hell, one can make the case there’s no reason to give him minutes at all anymore.
After 6 games we can see the contours of an 8–ish man rotation. I just don’t know if Autry wants to staple some guys to the bench for long stretches.

Given that this is the reality, if there is one guy you should have zero reservations about sitting, it is a grad transfer who will be gone next year without question. Carlos is 110% gone no matter what. Moore could easily be here another 1-2 years. Give more time to the guy who has the opportunity to come back next year, and also happens to be playing 10x better than the other guy!i think part of the issue is (and i think red stinks as a game manager but gonna defend him on this) the idea of one year contracts for everyone on the roster. I think we do have an acc caliber pg. that is the issueWe don't have an ACC-caliber point guard and have a black hole at SF. I've certainly seen enough. Other than seeing the frosh develop as the season progresses, there's nothing else to look forward to. Credit to Tennessee for finding Lanier. Dude is a baller. Period.
Put him on this team, instead of Bell, and we are light years better. Having Leffew over Carlos, we are much better.
The defense is utterly atrocious. Wasn't Engelstad supposed to come in and help on this end? There's been zero improvement. And the free throws? Absolute joke. 12-21 is unacceptable at this level.
The only intensity and grit I saw last night was Choppa. He's the only DAWG on the floor. We need more.
As an alum, I'm disgusted and embarrassed. I will always bleed orange, but major changes need to be made. This is rock bottom.
Rick Barnes said it takes 5…It doesn’t take three years in this current environment.
I love Donnie. But that kid is a true product of the AAU circuit and everything that is wrong with it. There have been multiple times this season, and multiple times last night, where he could’ve come from behind and swatted away a shot where our primary defender got beat instead he just stopped and watched the guy go by anyone that is involved in club basketball scene knows this is fundamentally what is going on every day. It is going to take some time to breakLet the high ceiling guys eat, agree with you.
