Selection Show Discussion Thread

Can’t wait to here the Xavier and UNC over WVU argument when they bring in the committee chair to discuss.

UNC in over WVU should be investigated.

I'm not so bothered by West Virginia being out. (Whether it should have been UNC?)

The Big12 was really overrated by the NET -- and in particular the way the B12 could dominate Q4 games just as good as the SEC or B10, but was way worse in quality games. This allowed the conference to carry good NETS into OOC.

B12 Q1 and Q2 wins are overstated in my view, and they should have two Q3 losses instead of NIL. Maybe the committee read all the charts I wasted my time on earlier this year!

I don’t care what anyone says 14 from one conference is a problem
it’s almost like the sec and big 10 are going to break off and have their own tourney?

just gotta schedule really hard. Who cares if you lose. That’s what I’ve learned. Saw it often with Mich St over the years too.

1-12 in Q1? Get out of here.
And for some reason, they'll say oh SU only had 1 quad 1 win and that's why we didn't put them in the field. Different strokes

UNC’s AD is the chair?? Lol such garbage. WVU should have been in.

111 brackets on the matrix.
111 people had West Virginia in.
I'm certain this has never happened before.

Patting myself a bit a la Barry Horowitz, when I got many things wrong, I did get a bit of a stench off West Virginia, put them in my last 4, but I couldn't pull the trigger on excluding them. But I did call them as the potential shock yesterday.

ACC could of had two more in SEC getting 14 is so dumb wake forest and SMU had an argument to be in

Louisville 8 and Clemson 5 ??? Still think Louisville got screwed there
I thought Clemson should have been a 4 myself. I know Louisville beat them twice, but they have better wins. Louisville really didn’t have that great of an OOC.

I tried to rationalize it yesterday, but I couldn't get there. The 1-12 is a bit deceptive, because 7 teams they played were #1 and #2 seeds, and only one was at home.

So even if we just wipe out those 7 games and say that was an anomaly compared to others (a generous position), they were still then 1-5 in the other Q1 games, which is still totally unsatisfactory.

They couldn't lose to both Wake and Pitt on the road.
