Some really good teams will not get to the Sweet 16. I think some of the seeding is questionable. I think the seeding is more questionable than the teams being left out.

I'm not so bothered by West Virginia being out. (Whether it should have been UNC?)

The Big12 was really overrated by the NET -- and in particular the way the B12 could dominate Q4 games just as good as the SEC or B10, but was way worse in quality games. This allowed the conference to carry good NETS into OOC.

B12 Q1 and Q2 wins are overstated in my view, and they should have two Q3 losses instead of NIL. Maybe the committee read all the charts I wasted my time on earlier this year!

100% this. Big XII did the exact same thing last year to work the system. Glad it didn’t entirely work this year.

I tracked it all this year - I'm going to bring back the thread.

Its not that the B12 plays more Q4 cupcakes than others (which was the theory at one time)... all power conferences play a similar amount at least this year.

But the B12 more than others seems to be able to crush the Q4 cupcakes better than others (relative to their own strength). It's almost like the B12 has a mandate pushed down to its teams how important it is to really run up the score. (Of course for some teams like Syracuse running up the score is not an option, but for many teams it is)

Is there any team in the country that college fans want to lose more than UCONN? Hurley might be the most unliked coach in the country. Everyone would love to see Florida take them to the woodshed.

Goodness the ACC’s crappiness is on full display.

Louisville went 18-2 in conference, made the title game and was ranked in the top 15. Getting an 8 is just an embarrassment for the league. And LVille gets stuck playing a Creighton team that is so much better than a 9 seed.

This conference is so far behind the B1G and SEC, and even the B12 too. It’s a bloated mess. The fact that we are so far down the pecking order here shows just how difficult it will be to just become relevant again.
