Substitute "sitters" for " standers" and the analysis is equally valid. Question is , should fans sit passively or stand up and cheer for their team .Ahh, here we go again.
This is where the "standers" define their behavior in the stands as the norm or at least the desired state.
Fine. But my point is that if the "standers" are devaluing the experience of those around them who don't agree with their definition of proper fan behavior, then they forfeit the right to ever have n opinion on attendance. They need to keep their mouths shut because they are likely one of the problems.
Party on! No one should ever but any brakes on your good time.

Maybe the standing and cheering and sitting should be choreographed like some Stalinist state sponsored sports event. The scoreboard could tell people when to engage in such and such activities. They could put you in charge of it. What happened to going to a football game being a raucous form of social release ? The word for it is fascism.No. The question is do some people have the right to degrade the experiences of others to the degree that they stop coming to games.
And it's whether some people are so concerned about attending the game on their own terms that they can't see anyone else's viewpoint.
The sitters aren't blocking anyone else's view. That's the difference you apparently can't see or understand.
Of course, what would you expect from people that just haven't been told to sit down in their lives.
The word for it is solipcism.
Amen! We sit in the wheelchair access section immediately behind the student section. Worst student section in the country. The mass exodus at halftime during winnable games is like the annual migration of the wildebeest, and I do mean wildebeests. I would have thought the promise of free food would appeal to this crowd.Students have free tickets and they can't even get to the game. I'd stop complaining about the most LOYAL fans in the area.

Yes , it is a substitute or relief valve for sublimated clan/tribal/gang aspirations in the modern psyche , and as such , it realizes its highest value if the "fans" expend the maximum energy of that type.Ahh, now there's the problem.
You actually think a football game is a "raucous from of social relief".
Do you imagine anyone could argue with that?
They should either stand or sit and cheer for their team. Honestly, you can make as much noise sitting as standing.Substitute "sitters" for " standers" and the analysis is equally valid. Question is , should fans sit passively or stand up and cheer for their team .
