Seriously...

Jacksonville Jaguars Wtf GIF

It’s not that hard a concept, and doesn’t require Angeli to be Joe Montana, just a potential late round pick, similar to McCord.

With really good production from the pass game a no more than average OL wouldn’t face loaded boxes and could support an adequate run game, which in turn would lead to ball possession AND 27 to 32 pts per game AND limiting really bad turnovers, which all help a marginal defense.
Careful with that well thought and articulate take around these parts...

I gotta wonder what we're gonna see, next year. I'm sure there are some inside tracks here, on the board, as well as some good guesses based on common sense and, of course, hopes and wishes. Seriously, though, I'm curious, as to what you think, because something has to happen. Honestly, I'm at a loss.
Okay, so let’s dive into this team. Right from the start, you can tell there’s something special about the way they’re lined up. I mean, if you think about it, a football field is just a giant rectangle, and they’re positioned inside that rectangle—just like the other team, which is key. But if you zoom out, there’s something poetic about the entire concept of rectangles, isn’t there? It’s almost like the game is secondary to the very shape they’re playing in.

Let’s talk about the defense. Now, defense is tricky because you’re trying to prevent something that’s already going to happen. The ball is going to move in the direction it’s going to move, regardless of whether they try to stop it. The linebackers are just kind of… there, right? Sometimes they rush, sometimes they stand, but are they really rushing, or just experiencing the rush of time? It’s a philosophical question, really.

Now, their quarterback. Look, if the ball doesn’t get thrown to the right person at the right time, what are we even doing here? But he’s got this thing, this presence when he’s standing behind the center. And I think we can all agree that standing is a big part of it. That moment when he takes the snap—wow. That’s the moment where it all begins. Or not. It could be the moment when it doesn’t begin. It really depends on how you look at it.

But, at the end of the day, you’ve got to remember: they’re playing football. And in football, you’ve got to do things, but you’ve also got to not do things. They’ll win. Or they won’t. But no matter what, they’re going to be on that field. And that’s what really matters. Or maybe it doesn’t.

And don't forget that the goal of the offensive players is to take this elongate sphere made of the skin of a pig and cross the goal line for six points by either running or catching a pass. However, no one seems to know what is and what isn't a catch, so there are frequent arguments generally in the 4th quarter.

Reading the board, I’m glad Angeli is coming back because apparently he’s the 2nd coming of Joe Montana and 95% of the reason the team sucked so bad the last 8 games.
It truly is 95% of the reason. Unfortunately they did not have a QB that was remotely close to P4 level. If Angeli stayed healthy SU would have won 7 games or maybe more.
