As another poster already pointed out - it's a positive that he said "could miss". "Will miss" is more like it based upon how we have shot the ball during the first 8 games of the season.

If you look at the list of things he was talking about in "10 Things I Have Learned So Far This Season"...just before his Syracuse comment was zone defense.
So mentioning SU is natural flow...when you think zone in college basketball you think the Orange 2-3.
And mentioning Michigan sure wouldn't help us...given our performance there.

A win over Nova, and if we finished .500 in ACC play I would hope 2 of those wins would come against Duke/UNC/Ville/UVA; that should be enough I'd think.
