Seven and Four......

Really, really impressive efforts from each and every one of our front seven. Excellence from each and every one of them in at least some aspects of their games, though admittedly against an over matched opponent. The only negative from that group ironically was too many TOs from Alan who in many other respects was our best player out there. I thought Jimmy did a very nice job of spreading the backcourt minutes, getting Kadary his 20 even in a game when both Joe and Buddy were playing very well. Special kudos to Buddy for coming back so strong after a layoff. We will just need to see Jimmy cut back minutes for Buddy or Joe when they hit those cold streaks that inevitably happen. Joe also needs some special recognition for a great game after all the flak he has taken.

The problem that we will have going forward will be finding enough size and inside muscle when we play bigger, better foes without Sid.

Unfortunately, the first seven are relative dwarfs, and our bench size come from the bottom four (Bras, Ajak, Frank, and Jessie). This was a great game for somebody from the group to assert themselves as being worthy of PT when the games get tougher. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Each of them is a work in process and each of them are not ready to contribute much this season. We will need Sid to come back early and to get to how he was playing at the end of last season quickly if this team is to be special.
