Not since Dirty South.

Wait, are we talking about the same thing? :p

Jerami was our last super freak athlete for hoops.

Let’s hope Diq develops as well as he did, only a lot quicker!!
Problem is, if he develops quicker he might be off to the league after one season. Granted, that would be better than off to the portal after one season.

I saw this one posted only a couple weeks ago. Its description Seems to say it’s including every make from White this season. It gives a good look at his offensive game. He seems to like sneaking to the corner on offense, where he can get open threes (rarely) or wait for dribble penetration so he can cut to the basket to receive lob passes for dunks (frequently). Because his driving ability is strong, a few times he was dared to shoot the three and made it. I wonder how often he’s missing…

White, while not getting really big rebounding numbers is still 9th in the league in rebounding. He snatches offensive rebounds out of the air. A couple plays, he just outworks or outmuscles bigger players for offensive rebounds and goes back up.

He shows unexpected strength on several drives where he displaces the defender to create space. The example at 8:56 mark was very Warrick like. Uses The finger roll well too. If George is half as good a passer as his IMG pg is, Sadiq will be a force.

Continuing my newfound obsession with standing reach, I found this nugget in a recruiting site. I’m starting to wonder if things like “standing reach” and “wingspan” are going to become like 40 times in football… If it isn’t measured by the NBA or your own eyes, caveat emptor.

That aside, White being comparatively short, still very young, and already with a nearly 9’ standing reach further reinforces why he is such a highly recruited player.

“Beyond his leaping ability, White is also a versatile athlete. He moves with pace and force, covering the court and playing through contact with increasing frequency. Physically, he has the length to match his athleticism with a nearly 7-foot wingspan and 8-foot-11 standing reach.”

In the final RSCI for his class, Sadiq White finished ranked 30th in the class.

Kiyan Anthony finished 32nd.

The other three recruits didn’t make the ranking, so the class was ranked 10th on the strength of the top two players.

I think that's a little better than we were expecting for Kiyan, but a little worse for White maybe.

White dropped 10 slots, Anthony stayed the same ranking from the summer rankings.

It seems like an unusual number of really big moves, with two guys not in the summer rankings jumping into the top30 from unranked, and CJ Ingram jumping 61 slots to jump ahead of White.

Last season, while our own Donnie Freeman had a big 25 slot jump to 8th in the final rankings, it is unusual for multiple players to jump so fast into the top 30.

Whatever. I’m happy with our guys.

Do they rate internationals?

Sadiq got the committed to Syracuse drop in the ranks.

At quick glance, I count 13 guys we recruited/offered on that list.
