I think a certain paper came to this board recently and just did an article about all of this...amazingWe're in the final cut list of just about everyone we've offered so I'm not sure it is quite time to throw in the towel.

I don't agree with the idea being on the final cut list doesn't mean anything. These kids talk to each other and if there are 8-10 kids in the top 25 that have us in their final 4-5 teams that does mean something. Also once you get to the final 4 teams anything can happen. For example we get into the final 4 for Randolph and he thinks he's going somewhere else but then Green commits and he decides that pushes us over the top. If he had already eliminated us that wouldn't happen. Also I don't think we are still recovering. We have a very strong 3 person class coming in. Battle is a top 20 overall kid to me and along with Moyer and Thompson this a good class.Being in the final two doesnt mean squat because if you don't land the recruit then it's the ultimate suck. Diablo, walker, Randolph, bamba, Richard. These are guys we targeted and will not get. We are not getting Duval either. Green is the only one we might have a shot at which means we are targeting the right guys but aren't closing the deal. Also what people aren't considering is we had to get two fifth year transfers to complete our team this year which was a miracle. I don't think and this is my opinion that we have really recovered from the crappy Patterson recruiting year. Last year we made the final four and all know we had no business making it there. I am hopeful another really good year will turn these heavy hitters in our favor.
My guess green may be able to convince a few recruits to come aboard. I don't like that we need 7 for next year given that all these targets are choosing now and not considering the playing time they will get at Syracuse.
I'm just excited to see Matthew Moyer play at Ohio State next year. The crystal ball has it at 55% and no one else above 20%. You would think they would remove it or change it to 100% for the guys who committed so the fact it is completely worthless wasn't on full display. If anyone is forming conclusions based on two for sevens crystal ball...don't
I agree, we are not a token finalist for these kids. You see that sometimes, a hometown team or something, that just doesn't seem to fit with the rest. We are a bonafide destination for top 20 recruits. Obviously it is nice to land the majority of these recruits, but the more that we are finalists with, the better chance we have.I don't agree with the idea being on the final cut list doesn't mean anything. That or Orangefan1 is Mike Waters.I think a certain paper came to this board recently and just did an article about all of this...amazing
Would you be able to suggest that he does a story regarding the SU Dance Team dancing provocatively? No I'm not actually but I find it ironic that an article discussing my very sentiments came out the next day lol...I won't take credit though mike does a nice job of reporting.
Yeah, who is Danny Manning anyway?Ok forget what I said earlier.
Wake Forest and Danny Manning.
Yeah, who is Danny Manning anyway?
Sweet. I believe on his latest podcast Francis said something similar. I believe it was someone along the lines of "Aaron no need to worry there is no way Randolph is going to Wake." Although I had quite a few drinks while listening and now that I think about it Francis doesn't know me personally so it doesn't really make sense. For the record, I'm not buying into the Wake Forest lean info.
I think we're in the ball game here.
?? These guys haven't gone elsewhere last I heard. You want to know something I hope it happens but it sure seems like we are not coming in first for these guys.
Your source told you that Brandon Randolph is going to Wake Forest?Wake Forest.
Manning's conference record is 7-29 at Wake. They have not put a player in the NBA at Wake in like 7 years. I believe Teague is the last guy correct me if I'm wrong. Randolph will find Danny and the Miracles cool? Maybe the same way a 6 year old finds tape decks cool. Oh that's cool dad (eye roll) moving on. I'm not saying there is no chance he goes there but I feel pretty confident it won't be because of a college team the played a decade before his birth. I would think showing him tape of Malachi Richardson and saying, "Look at this kid. He came here for 1 year and is in the NBA now as a 1st round pick" would get him way more excited.

Its been a rough six years for Wake Forest Basketball, that was mostly created by two men; Jeff Bzdelik and Ron Wellman.
As far as the whole "Wake is garbage, no way he goes there" argument goes, Wake is also being viewed as the favorites to land Chaundee Brown, a recruit that is ranked even higher than Randolph.
His shoes disagree.Wake Forest.
Is this Tyler Cavanaugh? Tough break at GW with the coach being fired after school started. I wasn't saying Wake was garbage, just as you have said they struggled over the last 6-7 years.Al-Farouq Aminu and Ish Smith. Smith graduated from Wake in 2010 and Aminu left early for the draft.

I don't know if he's that kind of player at all, but he is reminiscent of Dion Waiters in that recent clip.
