Makes total sense. Just have to find the next Michael Jordan and we’ll be good. And of course we want 10/10/10 guys![]()

True but unfortunately they had numerous season ending injuries during the season and had to readjust player’s roles, their playing time numerous times during the season and kept bouncing back to stay highly relevant. The ability to be flexible and positive despite major player losses and despite a depleted roster winning their conference was unique and impressive. No doubt it would be more difficult to do in the ACC but it shows a flexible, adjustable mindset by both the players and the staff. Their bench players and the staff were ready for the new goals and competition they had to face. That’s something our program does need - dedication for the next man up to always compete. They led a MAAC team to 10 non-P4 losses and 7 MAAC losses. I'll be cautious about their ability to consistently play at a high level in the ACC.

It's almost as though there's a type of moral superiority that people expect to see play out on the basketball court.junkyard dog, gym rat, hard worker, loves basketball, loves winning, etc
Be Best!BeALOTBETTeR
needlessly binary takeIt's almost as though there's a type of moral superiority that people expect to see play out on the basketball court.
Is it tho?needlessly binary take
Maybe considered by many “toughness”, “resilient”??It's almost as though there's a type of moral superiority that people expect to see play out on the basketball court.
I never much cared for when people talk about shortcomings on the court as if they're personal shortcomings. It's almost as though there's a type of moral superiority that people expect to see play out on the basketball court.
Drives me nuts.I never much cared for when people talk about shortcomings on the court as if they're personal shortcomings.
A real lunch pail, first in last out kinda guy.junkyard dog, gym rat, hard worker, loves basketball, loves winning, etc
I heard that he leaves it all on the court.A real lunch pail, first in last out kinda guy.
I heard that too. Does the things that don’t show up in the box score but win games.I heard that he leaves it all on the court.
This time next year, you will be seriously embarrassed how much you doubted Doty and his ability. There is a massive gap between the MAAC and the AAC. A BH team would probably have beaten Siena by 20 points this year.
Enis is far more of a volume shooter and doesn't have great numbers, but his splits from 3 are still far better than Doty/Kiyan. The biggest thing with Enis is BH actually has an offensive system where bringing him in would help translate to the other players.
Again I'm more than fine with Doty as a 7th man. It is a massive step up to ACC basketball.
I can’t speak for Bnoro but I won’t be embarrassed. I’ll be thrilled to be wrong. My take is he’ll be fine. If he’s a star, a lot will have gone right. This time next year, you will be seriously embarrassed how much you doubted Doty and his ability.
Time will tell.
EXACTLY!I still don’t get this inside hire vs. outside hire nonsense. Did everyone read Chris Carlson’s article today? Gerry certainly used some of what he learned as an assistant here (shorter, more intense practices) but much more if his coaching style developed in the two years he has been gone. He seems to have gleaned a lot from Beaury too. I am fine with those who say they would have preferred someone with success at a higher level that the MAAC, but the fact that GMac has a Syracuse connection on his resume should not be seen as a negative in my mind. Quite the opposite!
Sounds like except for the 3's you are describing Gerry. Gerry 2.0I heard that too. Does the things that don’t show up in the box score but win games.
I honestly don't care if I'm right or wrong, I just want us to win basketball games and make the NCAA tournament. This time next year, you will be seriously embarrassed how much you doubted Doty and his ability.
Time will tell.
Wonder what the correlation between those two players is. Can't put my finger on it.Sounds like except for the 3's you are describing Gerry. Gerry 2.0
As long as we don’t rue the day, I’ll be good.I can’t speak for Bnoro but I won’t be embarrassed. I’ll be thrilled to be wrong. My take is he’ll be fine. If he’s a star, a lot will have gone right.
Kind of how Bryce Zephir described himself.I heard that too. Does the things that don’t show up in the box score but win games.
I wonder what that means….
Maybe already going to Cuse
