I have been around plenty of programs that have really good assistant coaches, but struggle.

The head coach is such an important position and it is CLEAR as day that we have an atrocious one on all fronts.

I don't care if Alex Kline is Erik Spoelstra - if the head coach has final say and he doesn't listen, then it really doesn't matter at all.

What programs are you referring to that you’ve been around?

Hah who would've thought. Miami having a rough go at their big sports lately. Final 4 to collapse in hoops, crapped away their football season to lowly Syracuse last year. Same with Florida State. All While the other SEC teams around them pick their bones.

Perhaps he is one to watch for next year’s portal. Got a big bag to go to Miami and that didn’t work out. I assume he got another big NIL deal to transfer to Bama. Going into the season injured will hamper his chances to get ample playing time when he’s ready to play, and Oates have no problem getting top recruits, so Bethea could be on the move again after this upcoming season.

After 2 lackluster seasons, his NIL should be in our reach, plus I believe his dad wanted him to come to us.

Cal is a safe play to play for him. He gets kids into the league. They know that. They know he’s a big marketer for them too. There’s a reason he has billions of dollars in contracts for kids that played for him. Is he slippery, sure. I think at this level the kid could play anywhere and make it to the league the next year so not sure school matters a ton. Just depends who he likes
