SG Kiyan Anthony (NY) COMMITTED & SIGNED TO SYRACUSE (11/15/24)

Kiyan has missed a few good looks but isn't phased at all out there at 15 playing on the big stage. Kid is going to be really really good as he keeps developing.

Should've been offered at birth.
Lock him up now. No if and or buts about it.
Is it possible that the coaching staff/JAB did a home visit sometime after Kayan was born and made him an offer to play basketball for Syracuse? JAB was still active in recruiting back in 2007-2008. If so, it could be the longest standing offer in Syracuse Basketball history.

The kid was poised, has good shooting form and handled himself well amongst quite a few physically ready for college top players. We really should be pressing hard and show that he is a real priority. Right now (from my perspective) it appears like we are mildly interested and offered a scholly because he's Melo's son. By his senior year, he should be a McDonald's All-American and top 20 in his class.

Kiyanis going to be a better three point shooter than his dad. Great stroke. He is going to end up 6’6-6’7. He’s only 15 and gets bigger every year.

Coach Hop was on it with high energy!:)

He’ll be a top 15 player by the time he hits campus here. Pretty confident on that

Plus clearly 6-4 and growing still now. Noticeably taller than Bronny per pics taken from last night (assuming James is actually 6-3)

We need to be aggressive and go all out to show him that we want him to follow in his father's steps and be a star at SU. I hope we don't take him for granted as we did with some guys we were sure we had in pocket ( Bryant and Stewart) but went elsewhere. Both have said/implied that the schools they ended up at showed a lot of interest and attention where we just took them for granted.
We need the assigned assistant coach to be at all the games this early and Boeheim to get on a plane and attend some of the big games (especially those televised and attended by Melo {is he allowed to sit with the parents?}). This could scare off the big dog schools as it could be perceived that he's already ours.

JB will not be his coach in three years. Bryant and Stewart were just blowing smoke. SU was at a lot of their games. Stewart was never coming to SU and Bryant’s mom wanted him at SU, but he wanted no part of SU.
