Shafer conference call notes

That's great.

Of course you may have just Spotwooded the situation. Expect someone to show up at your door soon. ;)

LOL - well if it was different then what was reported I probably wouldn't have said anything. Just more of a confirmation of information.

:)

Bees on Go's shoulders looking over the fence blew that thing wide open.. the infancy stages of syracusefan... :)
that's impressive - go was pound for pound the strongest guy in cny in that scenario

I'm guessing the opposite, seemed very precautionary and no one reported that he was hobbled post-game as far as I know.

I think Erv will be fine.

I was thinking about Hunt applying for a 6th year. If he is granted it, and Dungey is as good as most of us hope he is, that could become an interesting dynamic.
I think Hunt moves to TE or Safety if ED shows growth. See what I did there?

If granted another year he will play qb

TE maybe, not fast enough to play safety.

He will absolutely be at QB. Depending on how the rest of the season goes with Dungey, Hunt will likely at least be the top backup. In any event, if I were Terrel and this waiver gets granted, I'd be getting as many master's degrees as possible. Huge academic opportunity for post-football life.

Probably true. Just not here? If Dungey turns out to be the real deal I can't see him taking the AJ Long 5 year plan.

I love the fact that Dungey is "reading the field" well. You'd think that would be the hardest thing for a young QB. He seems to have the physical talent. I think we'll be OK, if he remains healthy- and even then we've got two guys who played last year behind him. How many teams have that?

Could there be a position switch? It seems to be working for Braxton Miller.

Ashton Broyld with a better understanding of the playbook?

If AJ comes back and wins the #2, he may still have more story to write here. The RS year that was proclaimed for this season was completely a rumor. If he's the 2nd best, he'll be 2nd up.

He just needs to get healthier physically. He's a lot better than he was, but he's still got some issues FWIH.

I'm sorry, but Hunt hasn't shown enough to warrant a sixth year if Dungey can do an acceptable job. The program needs to move on at a certain point. Hunt hasn't really shown that he's a quarterback as much as he's a big, somewhat slow running back.

I don't think this has as much to do with what he's done versus what value he brings to the team. This is an uphill battle to get this waiver in the first place, so it's unlikely to happen anyways. If he does get granted this waiver, the staff can use him as a backup option IMO. Either way, the staff loves TH and will do whatever they can to help him back.
