It's no surprise that this team lived and died by the three point shot. We knew that we were going to depend on the three this season but if anything, I'm not sure anyone expected the results to be so bad in some of the games.
For the season, the team shot 35.7% from three. Not great, but the best since 2009-10. Going back six seasons here were those results: 30, 33, 33 34.9, 35.4, 39.1.
In conference, the games we shot better than 35.7% we were 6-2. In the games we shot worse than 35.7% we were 3-7. The only games we lost where we shot better than 35.7 were Clemson and Virginia. Obviously Clemson was a game we should have won and could have changed where we sit this morning.
Against Pitt from three we shot 33% and 27%. No surprise what we need to do on Wednesday.
