I get we won’t ever have top of the conférence talent and coaching up players and player development matter for a program like us.

If you give Dino talent I think he can get it done.

Just watching this season I get certain positions are being stretched thin but man this roster has no business being as thin as it is now.

It’s going to take 2 years which sucks to fix this.

It's probably a position by position analysis. I'll try, but I don't know all the stories.

OL - Concussions/injuries, probably didn't bring in the numbers either, but there should easily be 10 ready to go, instead there are 4.

RB - Opt outs just killed us here. Tucker was supposed to be 4th string. That tells me it was deep.

WR - Probably didn't expect Trishton to be 1 and done. Jordan transferred. Recruiting misses (RTB, Sharrod, maybe Courtney Jackson).

QB - Chance Amie transferred. Recruiting misses that led to Summers and the two true freshman being late pickups.

DL - Depth here isn't bad for a 3 man rotation.

LB - Seems like there's at least one class missing. Did have the Juan Wallace transfer too. Went from seniors to freshmen/sophomores.

DB - Lose 3 starters. Then true freshman beat out older guys like Jonas and Nunn.

We went toe to toe today with the #1 team in the country for 3 quarters, and probably had the least amount of available players we ever brought on the road. Just wish they could perform as well in the games that aren't quite so big. And are in our Dome.

You're so right, it's frustrating to put up an effort like that vs. Clemson and play so bad vs. Duke and Liberty. I think I would take a 60-10 loss to Clemson in exchange for wins vs. Duke and Liberty. What team will show up next week vs. Wake, a team that we at least supposed to compete with?

I thought Cam Jordan could still come back?

That's why I have taken a hard line on him. I can't believe he can't recruit if he put his mind to it do I have to conclude that he thought he would be on to a bigger job, which really sucks.

To me the major concerns are QB and OL. OL we got dealt a bad hand this year with the amount of injuries but it's still surprising to see Rhino have to play Guard. And I love Rex and he made some big plays today, but his mistakes at the end cost us.

Heckel and Clark would have been 5th year Seniors.

Dakota Davis would have been a returning starter. Hopefully we see him this season.

Bleich was expected to contribute towards the back half of the season.

Throw in Red, Froumy, White, and now Pat Davis on the injured/unavailable list.

That's how you get to 4.

If there was a tree in Thornden Park that grew P5 linemen, we'd be in great shape.

We only grow punters here.

I think our entire offense minus Tucker looks like a FCS unit.

Our defense has struggled against the run but I see players that are going to have good careers and we have some NFL talent on that unit.

I just can’t believe how little depth we have at QB/WR/OL.
Tucker and Jordan are enough at RB.
Adams and Howard are JAGs at other P5 programs so Dino had enough depth at RB.

Benson looks like a legit P5 TE but we don't use him enough. Queeley and Hendrix have P5 WR size but we've seen too little of them so far. Taj has talent but has maturity issues. If the OL and QB are bad though I just can't see any offensive scheme that will work.

Good points your right.

It was good to see Nykeim outrunning Clemson players today. Hopefully we get more of a return to the player he was two years ago. Queeley is improving every week.

OL played really well today. For them anyway.

Id say Queeley, Hendrix and Taj (assuming he isn't throwing a tantrum) are FBS level. Benson and Hackett are solid too, they just aren't being utilized properly.

I said it in a prior post, but how is this the 1st we have really seen of Hendrix?! Assuming he remains healthy, I think he's a big part of the offense moving forward.

If any of our current WRs turn into Ervin Phillips then we got players.
It took Philips 3 years to spike.

I do think depth at WR is an issue. We have some solid bodies but we need to see development.

Just watching us on offense is hard to watch. It shouldn’t be like that. Our offense is way too boom or bust.
We can’t sustain a 10 play 75 yard drive each game.
We score on chunks or go 3 and out this season.

I was 100% wrong not to include the TEs. We have good TEs. Problem is this offense doesn’t feature them enough.

We had a talent like Ravian Pierce and never featured him.

With 85 scholarships available depth shouldn’t be the problem it has been for us.

It’s just poor roster management. In year 5 you can't be as thin as we are.

I thought we were down to 59.
