Any UCONN recruits worth trying to flip?

In all honesty Tommy Hopkins would be a nice pick up ... Tomcat I think would agree.

He would be the logical one to go after. FWIW, the Boneyard says SU tried to contact Hopkins sometime after he verbaled to UConn and was rebuffed.

That would be out of character for this staff...they evaluated him early and decided not to offer him. The need to add an OT or two to the class might have/will force SU to go to their B list.

Besides OT, the other big need for this class is at middle linebacker. UConn has 3 players listed at MIKE in their class but we didn't offer any of them and I don't think they are fast enough/athletic enough to play there in the Syracuse defensive scheme.

The only other guy on their commit list I think we offered was Cam Stapleton, the TE/DE out of Poly Prep. They have a lot of players with no other BCS offers. Coach P is going off the grid big time with his class.

Thanks for the information!

I am wondering if the late offer was simply because they knew that Pugh was probably going to bolt and that Curtis and Officer would be tough sledding ...

Late offer to who? Hopkins? Syracuse has never offered him.
