How about we already gave them the football schedule. Have we fallen so far into the abyss that we are no longer Syracuse University?

Unlike football, not necessary at all. We will still have many opportunities to play in the metro area in pre-season tourneys, vs St Johns, and in the ACC tourney in the Garden
