Skytop - I got questions

and I know you have answers. Will be initial Skytop parking experience.

1. Am coming from east on the Thruway. SU Athletics says go to 81 / 690 and make a bunch of turns. I have to think I'm better of getting off Thruway and getting on 481 to exit 1? / Exit 2? Then what?
2. How much $?
3. Where do you get dropped off by the Dome?
4. How do you get from dropoff point to Fine Lot?
5. If wanted to grab a bite in Dewitt before heading to Skytop - any suggestions?

simple to go 81 to 481 and then over to sky top.

i think its $8-12 to park

the bus will drop you off about 2-300 yds from dome next to the quad. to get to fine you need to walk past the dome and down the hill

1)There;s no direct exit off 481 to get to skytop. i'd use the 81 to 690 route suggested by SU
2)not sure its 7 or 10
3)you get dropped off at college place near he quad
4)gotta walk past the dome and straight down the hill down Raynor Ave. AS your walking down the hill, we are he first parking lot on the left at the corner of raynor and henry st.
5) see #1. Stop at Stellas on the way down 81, Get off at hiawatha bld exit and go thru he light and i think its your first right.

get off at 481 exit from the thruway-go 481 south- take the last exit before it connects with 81 stay right-go rt at light -take next right at light

go up ainsley dr (sp) at the end go right -takes you into the backside of skytop= easier than the front entrance to get out after the game also

Coming from Utica/Albany area?

Take I-481 south to Exit 1 (Brighton Ave). Take exit ramp to light, then right onto Brighton Ave., then right onto Ainsley Dr., then right onto Jamesville Ave. Follow to end, then take the road up the hill to Skytop lot.

Just prepare for a wait to get on the bus to get back. Hopefully, they have the right number of buses running. I park near Marshall Square Mall now.

Get off at 81 go south (bit longer but simple) Get off at Brighton, et al exit. Take right onto salina then right on colvin and then right up to skytop. After going through pay booth park to the left in the smaller lot. Find me along the tree line under the SU tent and take a beer.

3. Where do you get dropped off by the Dome? College Place by Slocum
4. How do you get from dropoff point to Fine Lot? Walk past Dome and down stairs.
5. If wanted to grab a bite in Dewitt before heading to Skytop - any suggestions? Go to Danzers. Then take the back way to skytop. Or take 481 to 81 North and get of as described in #1

No, definitely take exit 34-A off the Thruway and take 481 down to Skytop. Last exit at Brighton, take the right onto Brighton, right onto Ainsley (like half a block later), and right up the back side of Skytop at the end of Ainsley (~3 long blocks).

Couldn't be more simple; much better than any 81/690 directions.

what always bugs me about the directions from skytop is that if you come in from the north side they make you exit from the south side but there are no signs for 81 when you get to Brighton.

Buses pick you up, follow the crowd at chow time. They drop you off right at the Quad, dome is in the background.

Thanks - I am totally confused about Danzer's though. Decades ago when I used to frequent Danzers, I thought it was on the northside.

Get off at the Thruway exit 34A, take 481 north to the Brighton ave exit.

Take your first right off that exit, you will go past a bar called Danzer's.

Go to the end of the street, take a right and go all the way on that road up the hill to the parking attendants. Hopefully if you get there early enough, they won't be there.

You can pretty much park anywhere you want.

It's actually more on the South side...way worse area at the bottom of the hill. Make sure you note the change in directions I goofed and put 481 North, should be SOUTH. North will take you to my northern burb of Clay.

Look for the small LED video board at the light and take a right on Ainsley Dr.
