Small guards

Walker, Smith, Napier, Jones. Small guards win in college. Not so good on top of zone. Can Joseph be our guy?

No, Joseph was not a good scorer, shooter, driver, slasher, or dribbler last year. Having said that, I have hope for his shooting next year, he did seem to have a knack for the mid-range jumper in the paint.

Joseph is gonna be good for us. He showed flashes of his athleticism and his mid range J. He is a competitor and plays with emotion. I have no doubt that he will be back stronger and a better player next year. He was just not ready to play and either was his body.

So it makes sense our best all round guard in the last Golden Age was Jonny Flynn.

Heights overrated unless the guard is 5' 10 and under. We like tall guards for defensive purposes in the zone. What good is a tall guard if hes not ready to play and has flaws in his game?

Whats so bad about guys like MCW, Triche and Waiters? We are a bad charge call and away from competing for the title with Triche and MCW. Our biggest issues late in 12 and 13 had nothing to do with our guards and everything to do with our post play. Something both Wisconsin and Duke had this year.
