You know that guys like K and JB get a promise from the event people that they will not be on their side of the bracket or they aren't signing on, right? Seriously they give the first team major trouble every year and knock them off 1 out of 5. They are division 2 and its got to kill that squads RPI plus it doesn't really count as a game if you win right? No way we are here if we have to play them.

My boy Christophe is single-handily burning Baylor. He has 2o 12 min of action!

Edit: 26 now hit another two threes as I typed this.

Varidel looks outrageous in this game. Holy smokes.

9-13 overall, 6-7 from three. 26 points for Varidel.

TWENTY SIX....insane. Absolutely insane performance thus far.

D2 schools don't figure into you're RPI.

The mountain west exploited that rule last year by having every team play 2 or 3 D2 schools instead of playing low D1 schools. That was a major factor in the conf RPI being so high.

But I agree with your overall point. Playing chaminade is a waste of a game. Baylor must get some kind of benefit for having to play them in rd 1.

I fear no one. Neither does Thug Cooney.

It's like a right of passage every year watching the Silverswords put up a fight.

Games against DII don't count in the RPI or W/L record for NCAAT consideration. But if you lose to Chaminade it will kill you in the rankings. For Chaminade this is like the NCAAT. Their kids are psyched out of their minds. They're always trouble for the "big name" teams. I'm glad we don't have to play them.

I have a weird feeling that if we played them, it'd be a VERY close game.

Baylor won right? ESPN.com scoreboard currently says Chaminade did but story says Baylor did

Damn glad we didnt draw the silverswords in round 1

Me too. If we drew any swords, the TSA or some of the bigger natives would be putting the smack down on our ass, a la a flashback to Captain Cook's demise.

I agree though, it is good fortune if we can avoid playing them. The reward is outweighed by the risk.
