1/2 honestly doesn't matter as we would get Bryant or Siena/Detroit first round which would be a lot easier than playing Albany/Yale/Princeton/Cornell first round which could get as the 3 seed. I think SU is 1 or 2 and Denver/Notre Dame/North Carolina will be the top 4 seeds in some order.

Even Quint was conceding Syracuse would be a top 2 seed during the broadcast and he always underrates us on purpose. He had Denver 1 and Syracuse 2, but I think after SU won he was giving us the 1 seed while McEneaney was calling us the top seed pretty consistently during the game.

1,2,3 it doesn't matter. This year's second round game is going to be tough no matter what. Realistically, the number 1 seed could face the winner of Cornell-Duke. That doesn't really seem like a reward to me. The top 3 seeds SHOULD have winnable first rounders, beyond that anyone can win any game. It is just the way it is right now in college lacrosse.

What you don't want is to play Maryland in the second round on their home field. Or Loyola in College Park, either.

The more I think about it, the second round is going to be tough, no matter the draw. But the 1 or 2 seed helps greatly with the first round matchup.

I am not worried about the 1-4 game. In my eyes the season is a success if we get to the final four. When you get to memorial weekend, it's anyone game and the hot team wins.
