No mention of Syracuse, which I think we all know on this forum for some reason is Americas best kept secret. Anyway i love the disrespect , especially coming off a final 4 last year . Anyway Gottlieb if you are reading, here is the updated VEGAS Odds on the National Title, look at where Syracuse is and look at where Virginia is , I'd say it's pretty far apart . "Experts" should know better, just take a run down of the Vegas odds.

I will give him credit though because he did say that ten teams from the ACC will probably make the tourney. Of course, he added that the SEC is down and the Pac 12 is down, so it was kind of a back handed compliment to the ACC.

We are a tough team for the media to push. whenever we are a one seed bad things happen, (losing starting centers and opponents get 57 foul shots, injuries, sophmores lose their shooting legs after going 25-0) Its our 3,4,5 and 10 seeds that have made final fours in march.

Its weird that it turned out that way. Its just coincidence, but in a way hes doing us a favor keeping us under the radar. They also need a excuse to keep us under the radar so they say they haven't played anybody ect.

Whether hes doing it for the good of the team or for trolling neither really matters. If he looked at the stats he would see we have 5 guys shooting 40% from three, play pf's at sf for 30 minutes a game, have two true pg's who actually could play sg (they really shoot the ball well), a 7'2 center, and go 6 deep in the backline arguably 7. I am guessing he has and is just finding a comfortable spot for us. Its a long season we can be a one or two seed by mid jan give it some time.

I remember all the times the seniors on the board told me to chill out about the lack of respect from the media, well I learned its meaningless in outcome. Besides its not as fun when everyone has a target on you for being number one or two in the country.

Yes +2500, but even that is kind of misleading. Makes you think if you bet 1$ you get $2500. Why not just say +25x? I got all excited at first thinking I was gonna win $25k on a $100 bet haha.

I encountered Doug Gottlieb at the Final *** and told him he sucked to his face. Without any words, he just smiled and walked away. I did it in a spirit of jest, and I think he got it and took it that way. Of course I wouldnt be shocked if he used it as part of a compilation for his fictionalized "encounter with a SU fan" story about the Final ***. The motto of it was "The Road Ends Here" didn't sound very inviting to me, even before it came true for SU. Anyhow, while I sincerely appreciate the information for PURELY entertainment purposes, Doug's opinions mean less to me than those of some of the members on here. I mean does Doug have a history of being right about much?

On a different note, I suppose I havent paid enough attention to Oregon if vegas ranks them so high. Kudos to show the vegas rankings, which generally mean more to me than the others. They seem to be made without bias.

Not that I am trying to defend Doug, but the OP's claim that he did not mention Syracuse amongst the top teams is not really accurate. I was watching the game as well.

He listed the teams that made the ACC great this year. Virginia as they were playing, Duke and UNC., made a quick comment about Louisville and he then added "As well as Syracuse -- although they haven't played anybody"

He put Syracuse in the top 5, but as soon as he said something positive about them, the immediate impulse to follow it up with a negative was triggered and he quickly moved on.

So yes he is a dick. But he also quickly mentioned Syracuse amongst the class of the ACC.
