so now it's Bourama's knee again. ugh.

I didn't know he had chronic tendinitis but I guess it's not something his coach or Bourama would've volunteered to me (understandably) when I spoke to them. He didn't miss games at St. Benedict's to my knowledge, so if it was an issue, he did play through it (as he said) and it didn't noticeably affect his performance.

Sounds like it's flaring up now and coupled with the ankle issue...ugh.

Normal treatment for tendonitis is ice the knee and stretching exercises, but in this case where you want him to be able to play, his knee should be kept warm on the bench and before entering the game, immediately after playing the knee should be iced. A knee sleeve should be worn, the compression can aid in lowering the inflamation during games. Complete rest is not possible nor advisable. Some tendinitis is indeed chronic and never truly goes away, while most with proper physical therapy and treatment resolves in about six to eight weeks.
