I would put $1500 on Cuse against them

They play against garbage competition

I guarn damn tee cuse zone would handle them

That's just not a good bet. If we played them 10 times, we'd probably win 2 or 3.

They would MURDER us on the glass, especially if TJones is mentally there.

This slobberfest will continue until they pull their annual disappearing act in Elite Eight.

The most frustrating thing about UK is that they don't play anyone remotely close to their talent level in the SEC. They will remain #1 simply because that league is too weak to challenge them. Cal has been very lucky with UK, as he was with Memphis, in that once he grabs the top spot in the poll, he keeps it because there is no one on the schedule who can beat them. That fortune turns into a very favorable placement in the tourney.

Yeah well Calipari is the best recruiter in the nation but not a good coach at adjusting his plan mid game. Their disappearance acts are when teams either play them even or get a small lead. Pay Pal is unable to figure what adjustments to make and they end up falling behind.

Their strategy is to run the opponent out of the gym from the tip with their NBA talent and maintain that lead throughout. That has worked for them all season so far and no one except Indiana really challenged them.

UK is a very good team. That being said, the SEC is horrible. Just completely horrible. They haven't been tested because there aren't any good teams in that league.

They went to the Final Four last year. We haven't been past the Sweet 16 in 9 years.

I agree with you here. I think most objective fans would as well. I do think there were points during this season where this was not true.

This is the best syracuse team in a looong time. They would handle UK in a 1 3 5 7 9 whatever game series.

I know they went to the FF. I was just making a generalization for the sake of my attempt to point out that Cal has underachieved even when all the dominoes fall his way.

I really just hope they have the opportunity, and then successfully handle UK in a 1 game series.

Eh, Cal is shady but the guy can coach. He gets those young guys to execute and play hard. Talent is one thing but he gets them to play as a team and maximizes each player's potential, imo.

If the SEC is just horrible, what does that say for the conferences not named Big 12, Big East, or Big 10? BTW, I disagree that the SEC is "horrible".

Vandy is the equivalent of cincy

Vanderbilt is MUCH better than Cincinnati, imo. They have had a couple of bumps this year and Ezeli missed some games. Did you forget about the game when they went into the Bradley Center and destroyed Marquette?

Outside uk, fla, vandy, tenn. What does the sec bring?

I'm not sure I understand your post.

IMO, the Big Ten is the best league this year, followed by the B12 then the Big East and ACC. SEC and Pac 12 bring up the rear.

FWIW, the average RPI rating of teams that Syracuse plays in conference is 73, while the average RPI rating for teams UK plays in conference is 83.

I think the SEC is significantly better than the ACC.

You can't put the SEC and Pac-12 in the same stratosphere as each other. The SEC is light years better.
