Trill and Cisco aren't burning a redshirt. They were never going to redshirt.

The kid was in the game when we broke it open against FSU. No way you redshirt him. He’s already contributing to wins.

Right. His long run might’ve been our best run of the season. I think that’s a 2 yard gain with our other guys. It was only 13-0 at that point. If we don’t score on that drive, who knows how the rest of the game goes? Pretty sure he’s got more yards than Strickland now, on far fewer carries.

Exactly! He side stepped and ran through an arm tackle which had not been happening enough in our backfield over the last two years. If we use our three backs the way they should-
Moe: Starting back and majority of carries.
Strick: Our "receiver-back" so to speak.
Howard: Our 2nd half change of pace when the defense is tired. And I want him in the redzone more personally!
I love it! Don't take that 3 headed monster away! Use it to our advantage!
WTH? Did you see him run over and around FSU. He may be our most pure talented RB. You don't sit that type of talent!

Howard passed his audition and is now a rotation back. I expect his role to expand rather than contract. Only thing that would change that would be an injury. We need a third back and since Pierre played as a true freshman expect one to end up getting regular work and the other using the four game rule.
Similarly at WR, I wouldn't pencil Harris in yet. Think he has had an audition and may get another game and while he has shown flashes I would not object to seeing him get his four in then give Queeley or Hendrix (when fully healthy) a look. Really enough options at WR that we should be able to protect the shirts of all the frosh if we choose to.

avant was our #6 WR last year. I think we have 9-10 maybe more on the roster already ahead of what he was going to give us.. If we ever get that #1 who can also be the deep guy that rolls the safety over and opens up so much more. Even last year Ish/Phillips caught alot of balls but no one had to double them because they seldom did much after the catch.
I dont worry one but about burning RS these kids want to play and if we dont bring in 2-3 at this level every year we are not recruiting well enough to win anyway.
We need a RB in this class though.
