Interesting note about this whole debacle: if the conference completely shatters as many expect it to, then every team that leaves owes the Big East $5 million ... except there won't be a Big East left to pay it to.

That's a lot of money that will soon only have a few pockets left to go to. Does TCU collect the spoils?

Well if enough teams leave can they just vote the buy out to nil?
If the bball only schools get 5mill from each fball school then that could keep them on the top level of midmajor bball going forward.

Bet the basketball onlies will get all the money to split. In fact, I think there will still be a BE, they just won;t play football.
