- I don't think I've ever seen SU that thoroughly dominated. It was like D-3 (or Rutgers) against Ohio State/Michigan.
- I'm not sure what's worse-our inability to run or stop the run. The holes created by the ND OL were so large that Steve Angeli in his current condition could have run for multiple TD's. With the exception of an occasional good play by Jobity or Omo, the D-line has looked invisible all year. On offense, there was nowhere for SU backs to run in the 1st half. It did improve some in the second half when they took out Colins and moved Cruz to C, but then the snaps were all over the place.
- The good news about the lack of pass blocking is most of the record setting TFL's were not a result of our OL being physically overwhelmed, but rather defenders not getting blocked. Numerous times, the back side DL was not blocked and got a good angle and chased down the RB. Other times, the wrong guys were blocked. That's less a talent issue and more a coaching issue, which is more easily fixable.
- Priority A, B, and C in the portal has to be fortifying both lines. We can't be so dependent on top QB play. Getting Angeli back will help, but won't fix everything.
- The position group that looked the best were the DB's
- I really like Tyliek Hill. Thought Nixon was fairly good, too.
- I feel odd saying this after he threw 3 Int's, including 2 pick 6's, but thought Filardi looked a little better. Made some nice passes. Just needs to learn to look off receivers. He's obviously not ready for this, but he was put into a very difficult situation.
- The handling of Carney continues to be odd. If you're going to play him for the last time this year, why not give him more time. Filardi will likely get all the BC snaps
- Fran's job of retaining our top recruits got more difficult. Would love to see us beat BC and end the year on a positive note, but not feeling optimistic after yesterday.
