  • I don't think I've ever seen SU that thoroughly dominated. It was like D-3 (or Rutgers) against Ohio State/Michigan.
  • I'm not sure what's worse-our inability to run or stop the run. The holes created by the ND OL were so large that Steve Angeli in his current condition could have run for multiple TD's. With the exception of an occasional good play by Jobity or Omo, the D-line has looked invisible all year. On offense, there was nowhere for SU backs to run in the 1st half. It did improve some in the second half when they took out Colins and moved Cruz to C, but then the snaps were all over the place.
  • The good news about the lack of pass blocking is most of the record setting TFL's were not a result of our OL being physically overwhelmed, but rather defenders not getting blocked. Numerous times, the back side DL was not blocked and got a good angle and chased down the RB. Other times, the wrong guys were blocked. That's less a talent issue and more a coaching issue, which is more easily fixable.
  • Priority A, B, and C in the portal has to be fortifying both lines. We can't be so dependent on top QB play. Getting Angeli back will help, but won't fix everything.
  • The position group that looked the best were the DB's
  • I really like Tyliek Hill. Thought Nixon was fairly good, too.
  • I feel odd saying this after he threw 3 Int's, including 2 pick 6's, but thought Filardi looked a little better. Made some nice passes. Just needs to learn to look off receivers. He's obviously not ready for this, but he was put into a very difficult situation.
  • The handling of Carney continues to be odd. If you're going to play him for the last time this year, why not give him more time. Filardi will likely get all the BC snaps
  • Fran's job of retaining our top recruits got more difficult. Would love to see us beat BC and end the year on a positive note, but not feeling optimistic after yesterday.

i noticed on the pick six filardi was the only orange player chasing. before the 1st snap rest of the team had already given up . Notre Dame could have named the score as the NCAA nation watched.

I noticed it, too. Even Villari. Was not a good look for our team.

Your point about getting Angeli back helping but not fixing everything is spot on. Everybody believes getting Angeli back is the magic elixir. It's not, there are problems all over in all facets, offense, defense, specials. The problems are systemic. Plus, Angeli is one play away from being lost again and who knows how effective he'll be coming off a serious injury.

So your saying this wasn’t some sort of grand conspiracy to make Miami look bad?
if fans want to believe that, they're more than welcome to but it was one of the dumbest things i've read in a while. team is in a bad losing streak and then had the worst opening to a game in CFB history. and it spiraled. lot of people who post stuff have never played sports and it shows.

I noticed the same. The team has quit, they were beaten before the game and the effort showed. This is on the head coach and staff.

Online Miami fans have FBDS (Fran Brown Derangement Syndrome)

The offense has been non-existent for the last 7 games and Nixon has made 0 adjustments. This is not on the defense, and it's also not completely the different QB's.
This is totally on Nixon for not being able to adapt to the personal he has.
He needs to be gone, actually let someone else be the OC for Boston College, they might score a couple of TD's.

best play of the game was villari in motion on the 4th and short. that dude has fight. he won't get drafted but i bet he makes it into a few camps. sorry joe no NFL draft for you. but you also showed fight and can't wait for lacrosse season. you've already won over fans for showing heart and hustle.

Notre Dame's leading receiver also is a lacrosse player who started as a football walk on, sure he's more of a football player now, but still.
