Someone Had To Do It: Miami Attendance

Prices will drop. They already are a bit and resale is coming down.

I think we will come close to an official sell out but actual butts in seats will be about 40k.
Yeah the resale prices are just stupid. Can the ppl reselling their seats not see the lack of demand, most of them are outrageous. Hopefully they come down and ppl buy them

Yes, that’s exactly why fans don’t show up. But it’s not because of the loss, it’s because they’re losers and just looking for any convenient excuse to complain. Not going to see the best QB we’ve had since McNabb in a season we have 8 wins against a top 10 team and not going because of 1 game is beyond stupid and immature.

Yup. It’s a bit odd. I sold my extra seats to this game at the beginning of the season for the highest price of any game. But they weren’t ridiculously priced. People seemed to have misjudged things a bit.

For what it’s worth I agree… but everyone is waiting for them to drop a deuce this week. That’s the perception right now, Cuse cannot win let alone compete in a big game. Time to change that.
Yes that is the perception - but it’s unfortunate because it just means historically they were not as good as we hoped and ran into a better opponent. It’s not like the bright lights suddenly froze them out every time. A better team will rise to the occasion. It’s not hard science. It’s also not fair to artificially raise the expectations too high when they have these types of games.

All I can say is we’re overdue to have a game where we catch all the breaks, show a few tricks, and Miami trips over their feet.

My work friend, who lives in NJ but is from Chittenango and will be home this weekend - will be attending the game despite not being much of a sports fan. That’s a good sign.

No. Syracuse fans have been more than patient for basically 20 years of suck. Going to games and not getting much back from the team. Every time we have had a big game, like this weekend, we have been blown out for 20 years. And while this year has been fun, we aren't 10-1. We are 8-3. Before Fran can complain about fans or lack of support, win a game like Saturday. Or win a game or two on the road against the stiff competition that we will be playing next year. Until then, save the blast on our fans. They don't deserve it yet.
This ^^^ it's always the out of towners that like to bitch about the fans here and bitch about CNY attitude. Seems to me a number of the out of towners on this board just kvetch about everything. Can't imagine being negative all the time like some of you out of towners are. ;)

Lots more light blue on the map tonight. The lower level is practically sold out. Upper student section only has a few hundred seats left. My guess is SU will make one more Black Friday push. A sell out is within reach.

Okay now Thanksgiving is over and I can turn all my attention on this game.

Can’t wait for it.

This is going to be an epic game!!!

Been tough for me pushing people I know to go with Thanksgiving but still trying to get people into the Dome!!

You want big time football? Then the community needs to act like it.

There are a lot of teams significantly worse than us this year with similar losses to our Stanford loss that didn't pack it in and stop coming. And it's no one on here, so none of them will see this... But there's a large enough population of people who consider themselves sports fans or Syracuse fans that bitch on social media and point at the Stanford loss or any other loss or reason as their excuse. People will continue to move the goalposts and give every reason why they won't come but then complain about performance or retaining players/coaches... Those are the people Syracuse needs to get into the building so we're not begging people to come to games like this.
Amen. If you bring up the Stanford loss then YOU are the loser. Yet they say nothing about the comeback wins.

Those people really expected a championship contender team where tickets are 20 bucks. You can never win over people like that. Extremely lame attitude.

I think it’ll be hard to sell out. Not enough has moved today. They would need to sell 1k tickets tomorrow and hope for another 1k in walk up sales on Saturday. Not sure that’s reasonable for a holiday weekend.

I’m guessing we announce around 41k and get 39k actual in seats.
Realistic takes are good richmond. Your prediction will be just about right. The lack of tix movement has been/is/will be predictable, but accurate in the manner that most of us rationally thinking about it thought and expected all along.

Nobody here can predict the attendance. The actual vs announced is even more delusional. Let it play out and attend if you can.

Well, lets give those in that camp a reason to think and spend differently. Lets win and storm the damn field sat.
