Someone Had To Do It: Miami Attendance

I wasn't honestly concerned about your opinion, I was concerned because you think transferring tickets is hard with SU, it's not its pretty easy. I can understand that some elderly former players may have an issue but that's a very small % of the overall fanbase, most have no issue. Those older players should speak with SU and their ticket reps about getting paper tickets, SU will work with them especially being alumni and former players, as noted paper tickets are possible with SU. I understand attendance isn't where we all wanted it to be this year but I can assure you the digital ticket systems plays almost no part in that.

Yes Ticketmaster re-sale prices aren't cheap by any stretch but again that's the secondary market, what secondary ticket market isn't inflated? People can buy directly from Syracuse and avoid the mark ups be it from buying season tickets, the game package specials that come out usually weekly or even in person at the box office. There's a ton of ticket accessibility through SU itself that would allow any fan to avoid the secondary market.

Regarding attendance itself, the Dome isn't selling out but to say it's worse then ever is not accurate. The numbers aren't like they were two years ago only because SU isn't essentially giving away tickets for two games to try and fill the Dome. That practice has ended and the attendance reflects as such. Could overall prices in some sections be lower, I think they could and SU will have to assess that themselves in the off-season.
I work in the tech field. do crazy tech stuff, program for a living and i think its hard to move tickets around.

i don't even try . People go with me and all go in with me or I eat the tickets. I don't try to give them away.

I shouldn't have to pay money to sell my ticket or have someone buy my ticket on TM either

I am sure some will be here but keep in mind this game is not officially part of the student ticket package so that will impact some. I think you will see more then you did last Saturday as I am sure most were already gone.
It’s my understanding the game is part of the student season ticket package. I was told this two weeks ago when it was brought up then.

Don’t %$%$ the bed in big games and there will be sellouts. Good place to start Saturday… it’s a good opponent but at the very least give the crowd a game.

The win and you are ranked games Cuse does not have a great record. Including this year Stanford/Pitt.
Only big game we S&$t the bed in this year was
I really hope Michael Irvin is at the game being a maniac on the sidelines. That will make the whole day more fun.
with Uncle Luke? Would be amazing

It’s part of the ticket package but many opted to give the tickets back so the Dome could sell them

I would fire you from my IT

It’s about as easy as putting in someone’s cell phone number or email to transfer tickets

Thats not my experience. its a pain just to get it my wallet.

TM is crap code.

Well you can certainly sell your ticket outside of TM and charge whatever you want, people do that on the tailgate board here all the time. Your not bound to use them.

Regarding the transfer aspect there can be a learning curve at the very beginning it is pretty simple. If your still having issues at this point you may want to speak with someone at SU.

JR's right it is, students opted to give them back so there's a bunch of inventory for SU to move.

Into your apple wallet? I did it in 10 seconds on Saturday. It’s not hard. Click on add to your wallet, your wallet then loads the tix, then click add. Daunting,I know

Also, if you transferring tickets, you can’t once they are in your wallet unless you take them out

If you want to transfer tickets don’t add to your wallet until after you’ve transferred

Again, you click one button that says “add to wallet” and then it says “just this one ticket or all”
and it fails half the time. it doesn't help the cuse.com app is bad as well.

But, if you transfer them to someone, they have to have a TM account…no?
I tried earlier this year to transfer them to someone who didn’t have a TM account and he couldn’t figure out hiw to setup his account and accept the tickets

I just did it for the first time Saturday, had never used my Apple wallet before. If an old guy like me can do it, at 47, it shouldn’t be difficult………

But your user name automatically takes off like 20 of those years my man.

It's the easiest thing I've ever done. I almost even used the word literally, but thought maybe that was overkill. I've moved so many tickets with an easy point and click. And I am not what one would call tech savvy.

I won't judge if you're still writing COBOL. Some of those applications are still alive, and someone needs to maintain them.

The cheapest tickets on TM are $60/each right now. So a couple who wants a night out is going to drop $200 when you factor in $30 to park at Skytop and a snack at the game. I bought a couple extra this week but I can understand why many may say, sorry, too expensive. I'll watch it on TV.

I always tell people, if you think there is even a remote chance you might want to attend a game or two, buy season tickets. That way you are locked in and for the price of maybe 2 games, you can get the entire season.
Exactly
Seasons at $200 and under offer some great values

Also two of the recent sellouts (or close to it) were Notre Dame and FSU. And they did to our football game what we’d do to their basketball games. It was haunting when Notre Dame made a play and the dome erupted. Ditto the florida state tomahawk thing.

It would’ve been better if those seats were empty.

NC State was probably the only actual sellout post-COVID. We went 6-0 and became eligible and the field was stormed. Great game.

Those at 150 a pop are essentially midfield first few rows of the upper section. Those are prices your going to pay anywhere for a D1 Power 5 football especially against a top 10 opponent.
Yup those are actually not too much over face

Maybe too good. I go to every game, I think I meet around half the season holders around me. Lotsa resellers, lotsa people that buy them for a couple games and don’t care. I don’t have a solution—I don’t want to pay more—but it does seem to be a problem to get season ticket holders to show.
