The TV rating for the 2012 Pinstripe Bowl. The rating for 2011, featuring Syracuse, was 2.63. It fell to 2.1 for Rutgers last year.

We already know that Syracuse sold more tickets that Rutgers did and the game drew several thousand more fans for 2012. This will be another good barometer for how popular the Syracuse program is right now.

Ratings definitely up/highest in Bowl (three-year) history.

Great Saturday slot and lots of hype as an offensive slugfest between two good QBs. Plus the snow makes for intriguing TV and ESPN.com was front-paging the game during the contest.
