Song to break out of tunnel to pump everyone up...

I know Seven Nation Army is kinda played out at sporting events, but I do think the Glitch Mob remix of it would be a cool intro. Turn the lights out. Slow build intro with some cool lighting effects and a well-done video playing on the big screens. Could be pretty sick if done right.

Eminem would be laughed at. So corny.
It’s equally as corny as coming out to the plethora of 80s metal songs that teams do. Really any popular song that most people will recognize will have a certain amount of corniness and commercialism to it. A song won’t get chose if it’s not popular.

Eminem is the 7th most streamed artist on Spotify and 8th most in daily streams. I don’t think it’s a bad idea to look into some of his stadium oriented tracks.

Sometimes you just gotta lose yourself in the moment

A classic rock song could be fine but it would be nice if it wasn’t already taken by another school and all the good ones are taken.

Some recommendations from this century that I think could work and that I don’t think other schools use…

Till I Collapse Eminem
Bat Country Avenged Sevenfold
Can’t Stop Red Hot Chili Peppers
Hail to the King by Avenged is pretty bad ass...not enough people know it though.

I agree about the 80's "metal" too, and as I've said many times, it should be a song that's ours and selected by the students/players.

Doesn't have to be popular/known to become a hit in the stadium.

Just look at Edwin Diaz's trumpet song (regardless of what you think of the Mets), that was organic and became absolutely huge, to the point where that has become a stadium song around the country.

Some interesting ideas, and some.....other ideas.

It would be interesting to hear what a different version of "Down the Field" would sound like. For a comparison of how different it could be, there's a huge difference between Reba's version of the National Anthem and the Jimi Hendrix version.

Disturbed - Are You Ready

I laugh at those afraid of classic rock tunes. Metallica plays at many stadiums. Our own student section sings Journey every game. Korn (Got the Life) would also be good - Rochester band.

Korn is from California.

Korn is from California.
My bad they were going to play at Blue Cross and there was talk at the time that they (or some members of the band) had local roots. But you're right - Bakersfield. Either way .. their music is good.

I love these threads because some of us get way too involved as if there's going to be a consensus or somehow what any of post here will get selected.

That said you've got the most intriguing option here with a variation of down the field that doesn't yet exist. Personally I'd go with an EDM Darude/Sandstorm or Skrillex style mash up but would be phenomenal fan submission idea IMHO. Break out the 808 and 303 or whatever floats someone's boat to create. I'm sure plenty on here can shred on guitar for a Hendrix style rendition as well

I propose Mack the Knife by Bobby Darin. It's darn good and if your fingers aren't snapping when Bobby starts riffing, well I just don't know what.

Whoever recommended Put On, as a younger fan (17) I think it would be amazing as an intro. Just my 2 cents.
Wasn't a recommendation, it was actually the intro in 2008. Wouldn't complain if they brought it back.

This song is in many movies and TV shows, usually just the intro (the best part of the song, and why they named it such). It conveys the feeling that things just went to the next level, maybe an event has just had a permanent impact on a story line, or changed a main character in a profound way. It is sort of like coming to a fork in the road, or turning of a page. "There is no going back now."

Well, that got me all kinds of fired up!!

Sounds like a generic soundtrack for a product info video.

You're Going Down by The Sick Puppies.

Song starts just the the team appears in the tunnel. Gradually raise the volume to a near deafening level. Play it right up to the :57 second mark, it cuts off right there as the team runs out of the tunnel. SUMB ques up Down The Field right when the song cuts off, as the team runs onto the field and the Dome goes nuts. You're all welcome :)

Might be a little heavy for some, Im not a loud music person but this whole song imo really speaks to SUFB. We've been stomped on for too long, and now with HCFB and the kids he is bringing in, the table is turning and we aint the ones going down anymore
