Love this, the perfect petri dish.

Recruiting to WSU has to be tough. Best players in the history of the program have been sorta local. Bledsoe was from Walla Walla, Leaf from Montana.

TTU isn't exactly easy to get to but it is Texas. The Palouse is like the moon.

Seriously, I've always loved the Pac-10/12, and man oh man is it going to be a fun conference to watch the next few years. Oregon is already my wet dream, USC will come back, and now you got RRod at Arizona and Leach at WSU?! Crazy fun.

Sadly my family connection to the conference is Oregon State.

USC is playing lights out right now, we are lucky we played them when we did. I love the Pac 12 right now. Amazing that Tedford at Cal use to be the offensive guru in that conference, now he is washed up!

If Leach is better than 5-7 in year three, in that conference...well, people will have some 'splaining to do.

3 years in probably the second best conference overall...wsu is a total rebuild, make no mistake about it. No rejuvenation.

As bad as we were at the end of the GRob era, we looked almost ok next to that program. They had a 1AA win and a somehow win in the Apple Cup in OT. Followed that with a 1-11. They were truly the worst BCS program those years. Makes it all the more interesting to see where this goes, as you all have stated.

I'm pretty excited with this hire. I love watching late night Pac-10/Pac-12 football and the addition of Rich Rod and Leach should make it even better. Not even done yet...imagine Chris Petersen @ UCLA and Bellotti @ Arizona State...

That said...I was watching the Utah @ Washington St game about two weeks ago and it was played in a near blizzard. Not sure if inclement weather like that is normal there but if so November football in Wazzu can't bode well for Leach's offense.

I think Pullman Wa is a much better spot for Leach then LA or DC. I thought he might take a better look at ASU or vice versa but I think it's a good fit. Leach is a Wyoming guy and Eastern Wa including Spokane is essentially the same if you ask me, lots of wranglers, copenhagen, and cowboy boots. You would love it Stan as will Leach.

It's a hell of a project that is for sure.. Guns up!

Ya, actually the second I made the post I rethought it a bit. you are right. clearly the PAC12 is flying right now. expectations wont be that high.
