sound system

It was decent. Hard to make it what the ref was saying at times.

I’m beginning to think it’s more the person speaking than the sound system itself.

I could hear Mr. Excitement fine, for better or for worse. I think it's because he has a reasonably deep voice and speaks slowly. Higher-pitched, fast-talking female voices, not so much.

Curious how it will be today. Heard a sound bite of Sala saying it will be better because it will be a bigger crowd, and less sound bouncing off of empty metal seats.
I’m not sure how he can comfortably claim that without having ever filled the dome sense the renovation. The biggest crowds we’ve had was Paul and Elton and by all accounts the sound was horrid.
We shall see. I hope he’s right.

I think he will prove to be right. It’s logical.

If that's actually the case, replacing them with plastic seats will make a MASSIVE difference for next season even without the tweaking they will be doing.

Nahh. Bouncing off hard stuff, plastic, metal, whatever, including the roof, is the problem. Need bodies, to minimize reflections.

And we WANT some of those reflections(roof) to maximize noise. (It'll always be mehh for many speakers. Prolly decent if they originate from a more singular point- concert)

Sound was awful last night with maybe a couple thousand in attendance. It should be better today.

The sound for Elton was ok, not great, but not bad, and you could here what he said, but he had his own speakers.

You have some control when speakers are just on stage. Line up 50 speakers in a circle around the dome? Bloody sound engineers MESS.

Well Pete, you were wrong. Literally no difference.

my question is still, can they adjust the sound to the input, based on the speakers or are they stuck using the same sound in every direction?
