IF the SOL ran and the police never questioned him under oath I think he dodges the jail bullet. Whether or not he takes a swim in the Onondaga and never comes up for air depends on the good citizens of Syracuse.

yep, very odd case: Bernie might very well be guilty, but at the same time Davis and Lang might very well have been playing this for money rather than for justice, and despite everything, Bernie might never face any charges. He'll be ruined, of course, and even with no charges, his legal tab is mounting, so he could end up destitute as well.

I am not a lawyer, but if Bernie is to be convicted, it will probably come from forensic examination of his personal effects. There may be a state case in Pennsylvania for the third accuser, or at the very least a federal case. I believe the SOL for crimes against children was eliminated for federal cases sometime in the 2000's, but I do not know if it would apply retroactively to the Penn allegations from 2002.

Something else they find as a result of the search will hang him, if that is to happen.

The charges would have tO come from the Feds. As soon as it crossed state lines the man act was inacted. There is no statue of limitations when that happens. There are two men outside the state that he molested. One won't Press charges the other is believed tO be lying. Unless someone else comes forward I doubt he does anytime.
