Can't wait til September to see Cuse football in person again so I'll finally be making to ~250 mile trek in April to catch the Spring game.

What type of festivities do they normally run pre and post game? Will have my 14 year old son with and would be extremely cool to get him down on the field as well as potentially meet and greet some of the players and coaches.

Also, we usually shuttle in from Sky top for the games. Where should we be looking to park that we can potentially run a 4 person mini tailgate as well?

Park in the West lots, and walk up the hill to the Dome. It's doubtful that Skytop will be open, since they expect a crowd of maybe 4,000-5,000. If our Fine Mess group has a tailgate set up, stop by and say hello.

Usually there's an autograph session after the game on the field.

81 to Adams, right on Irving?

Yes, like OX says, if you want to tailgate, you should do it in one of the parking lots west of the dome, which have always been open with free parking. There will be plenty of room and it is only a short walk to the Dome from there.

Would love to have you stop by the Fine Lot tailgate. Some of us might go golfing first thing and then head to the Fine Lot to fill our bellies and prep for the big game properly. You can join us for that too if you want.

Since they've moved it to earlier in the year it absolutely means better golf weather,...not.

I'm not a golfer but appreciate the invite.

I'll see what the group wants to do. Will be my son, along with my season ticket holder cousin who I cant convince to join this board and possibly his wife. I'm sure they'd enjoy the socially akward moments of me intrucing myself as "uhhhh yeah I'm ImperialOrange... and you are?" but he also enjoys putting in work on the mini grill he got last year as well. There should really be nametags for these types of things though, or some secret cusefan.com hand shake.

I'm going to try to come up for my first spring game as well and would love to try golfing if the snow is gone by then. I've moved my schedule for relocating to CNY up a bit and hope to look around for an apt and perhaps job-hunt a bit as well. Any suggestions between now and then would be appreciated...

Suggestions on what? Job leads? Apartment leads? Golf courses to play?

With the spring game being played about 3 weeks earlier than normal, if they opt to start at noon as they have done in the past, it occurs to me it is going to be really hard to get in 18 holes and get back to the Fine Lot in time to do much tailgating.

The golf event is probably off unless the spring game starts later. On the off chance someone in power is listening, it would be great for us golfers if it could be started around 1 PM.

I'm expecting to be in CNY for the better part of a week and would love to play some golf sometime while I'm there, especially if SU folks are out playing. That's just kind of a bonus. I'm going to be in CNY from May or so to late fall at the earliest, depending on if I can find a project that works out well. I especially would like leads on a sublet or variable length lease in Binghamton, Ithaca, or Syracuse and project opportunities if anyone knows of anything. I've got things to do in CNY for the summer and have a lot of flexibility so am going to be looking seriously in the April/May timeframe. I'll be by myself so my needs are minimal and have a broad skillset so am looking for good folks in need of help without too many requirements. It may seem kind of simplistic, but it is what it is.

you mentioned pre and post game entertainment, but you failed to mention in game entertainment.. two words

luna halo

anyone remember that?

there will still be 3 ft of snow by april the way this is going

How much do you have now? We haven't had a lot of snow, but it's been a cold winter here so far.

Brings back childhood memories of standing outside after Easter church service hoping the snow had melted off the golf course. Of course it never did.

Sorry to bump an old-ish thread, but when IS the spring game? I've been Googling like crazy but can't find an exact date.

Ha...ever have something you're so used to seeing that you just stop noticing it after awhile? That's me with tacked threads. They become background fodder at some point.
