OK with the potential for warmer weather for the first time in a while there has been some discussions about doing a tailgate between the spring game and the Lacrosse game at 5. I have spoken with my boss (wife) and she indicated a willingness to take this on weather permitting.

This would obviously be scaled down version of our regular fine lot tailgates but if the weather will cooperate it would be a great opportunity to sneak in early tailgate.

In order to see if this is feasible I ask the following.
1. If you would be interested in a spring game tailgate please post in this thread and give the approx # in your party.

2. I would likely need two or three people to assist with me depending on how the #'s work out. If you could assist with a grill and table and or a canopy please let me know. Along the same line we will likely need one or two people to assist with the food side of it. If you feel you can help in that regard let me know and I will circle back with those people via a PM.

Depending on what kind of response we get I am thinking a $5 a head charge to cover costs for food and supplies. Unlike our fall fball tailgates this will unfortunately have to be a BYOB event, to much work and $ to try and coordinate booze for a one time event like this.

Cross your fingers for good weather!

I may be in on this. Let me talk to my tailgate partner and see what he thinks. We have a canopy, table and grill and hopefully we won't need it but I have a firepit too.

Mind reader.

I was thinking with the 11AM start for FB and 5 pm lax that a mid day event would be the way to go. You know how much I love the Club, but four hours is a reach.

In for a table and canopy (hopefully won't need it).

My exact thoughts plus with Syracuse there's no guarantee they would even have it open the whole time (they make weird decisions when it comes to that stuff ). As long as the weather holds I think it's a no brainer.

normally I'd be all over this but I'm going to the Beatlecuse concert at the landmark with dinner before so I'm out for this, but will see you gents for the game. Great idea and you guys will have a ball.

No worries, hopefully you can stop by for a beer on the way out!

Retro said Nichols out in Liverpool have good prices on beer...you ever been there?
been there a couple of times but never for beer.

Best place in the 'Pool is Galeville, great selection.

Likely in for at least 3, but weather may be a deciding factor for tailgating.
