This is phenomenal. There's not many people in sports I despise more than Gottlieb. Starbury is just roasting him. The poop emoji and Marbury being listed as his step father on wikipedia are my favorites.

In fact, Mike Vaccaro makes a similar point in the NY Post in a column telling St. John's to hire Tim Cluess already.

"Basically right" in what sense? He didn't say there were just fewer elite recruits coming from NYC. He said/implied NYC is producing next to no talent at all.

And how are we treating the NYC kid who moves to one of the top academies or prep schools out of state? That's where the difference is. There weren't prep schools a decade or two ago that there are now. It might be true that coaches aren't venturing into NYC much to recruit these kids, but they're still kids from NYC.
