It's probably because he didn’t meet his quota for subscriptions. It's a tough job because there are so many web options seeking subs. It is a pretty cutthroat business. Back in the day all you had was the daily paper. He is a very good reporter, his work was solid and he is not afraid to ask the tough question, especially to Boeheim. He will land on his feet in a better spot, too bad it won't be the SYR beat.

SB & 247 was never a good fit. He’s a traditional reporter who does a great job writing thoughtful feature articles.
247 subscribers (I’m an ex-subscriber) are there for recruiting intel.
Recruiting isn’t SB’s strength. It was only a matter of time until they split.
Idk where 247 will find another recruiting guy. McAllister is the best in the biz and I’m not sure anyone else is even close

I didn’t know if this was out already, but I’m going to miss SB’s coverage.

I enjoyed SB because he understood football. As for recruiting new I get plenty from Mike McCallister and syracusefan.com pay side. Just cancelled. PS seems a waste of money - after all, I got you guys and gals.
