He does. He's got two years of eligibility, right?

I was just watching some things that Maronovichs dad does with water weights and nervous system training. One of ufc guys was rolling his feet on tubes and doing all sorts of crazy stuff. Really interesting. I remember him telling his son heavy lifting isn’t the answer in a article back then. There's so much to it. I think early days many expected Steve to be way ahead of things because he's a 20 y/o D1 athlete and a mental Goliath. The injury itself, the procedure, the post op PT, the scar tissue, the atrophy and the mental post full recovery are all time consuming endeavors.
Even the most prime physical recovery demographic (which Steve is) will have massive mental hurdles. How many times will he have to plant on it before he trusts it once recovered? How many times after that will it take to not even think about it when planting? What happens the first time he gets hit or rolled up on? What happens if/when opponents target it?
Selfishly I hope he's back good as new on the feild. Realistically I just hope he recovers and isn't hindered by it in daily life. It's gotta be pretty traumatic to have the biggest tendon in the body and calf muscle ball up like a fruit roll up after all.
My boy Cole hinted at me that things have transitioned smoothly from his previous school. Few coaches are impressed by him I could see him getting quality playing time all year. But it’s early of coursethey're real. and they're spectacular. I know we joke about deep QB room comments...so folks will have to see it to believe it...but we invested heavily and the quality difference is very apparent to everyone around the program. Folks were NOT saying that last year after watching Ricky in practice.
I think folks will be pleasantly surprised by a lot of the transfers, too (e.g. Cole Weaver, the Toledo LB and others).
For clarification, when you say “few coaches are impressed” do you mean most are not impressed or just that some are impressed? My boy Cole hinted at me that things have transitioned smoothly from his previous school. Few coaches are impressed by him I could see him getting quality playing time all year. But it’s early of course
My guess interpretation is we are missing a letter/word. "A few coaches". Reads much more positive with that add.For clarification, when you say “few coaches are impressed” do you mean most are not impressed or just that some are impressed?
Mentality is key and we largely didn't have one last year. There's also an attitude and energy that comes from some of those kids too. I've said it before but we were missing leadership on this team once Steve went down. The LB from Toledo is someone we didnt have on d last year. a vocal leader with an edge. He also knows the defense in and out. He's going to be a fan favorite. He's built to play in Syracuse. Him and Antoine together are going to be a LOT of fun to watch.
