Last season I noticed the Syracuse defense looked tired in the second half of most games. This was especially noticeable at the Florida State game where it was sunny and hot. I'm not sure if it was a lack of strength and conditioning or the fact that the Syracuse offense went three and out on too many offensive series.

I'm anxious to see what the new strength and conditioning coaches can do. Go Orange!!
 
Agreed I think it's a bit of column A and B. My athletic training programs were always designed to be able to play/run at full game speed 1.5x the actual game length because the truth is you can't simulate game speed. And the stamina developed by training past the clock closes that gap and gives your team an advantage late and in overtime.

I'm not sure that people fully appreciate just how much energy is used breaking huddles and waddling to the line of scrimmage ;-)
