SU 81 vs Notre Dame 69: Sun Jan 31, 11 AM [ACCN]

Tiana is starting to look like her old self.
She just needs time - I could tell she knew what she wanted to do , she just needed to be patient with herself. She knows the game so well.

Kardosa - just a freshman - wow - the future is so bright with her anchoring the center spot. She’s so fundamentally sound (make those free throws though) not bringing the ball down and running the floor.

Another great 4th quarter for the ladies. Their defense came alive and they cut down their turnovers in the second half.

When I first saw Mabry on the court, I was thinking, OMG, how many years has she been at ND. Then I realize they said she was a freshman. She looks just like her sister Marina.

Great finish ladies!!

A huge factor with Tiana’s comeback is the fact she not only had chemo but surgeries involving cutting, stretching muscles in her chest affecting her shoulders and upper body strength. For a player whose game involves so much passing the adjustment to overcome the pain and weakness inherent with her surgery is amazing. Today was the first time I saw a resurgence of the zing and power she always had with her passing game. So happy for her and how she has dealt with reconditioning her body to adapt to these frustrating changes. She will have some ups and downs regarding fatigue etc but her work ethic and determination has her on a great upward trajectory over time. What we’re seeing is actually remarkable.

Great come-back win!

The ACC network has many problem; including bias. Listened to Muffet McGraw interviewed after Cuse beat ND. Not one mention of the great effort by the
Orange only excuses for why ND didn’t win!
