SU at Boston College (51-92): Sun Jan 19, 12 PM

I think we've finally reached the point where watching the games makes me feel sad more than anything else. I'm ready to skip to spring.

Give Coach credit. She handled the questions after the game like a pro. It can’t be easy. The talent level on this team is woefully lacking.
This is a very tough situation for Syracuse Women's hoops. I have been harping on recruiting since before the season started and I been told that I keep incessantly saying the same thing over and over, so i will not state it again. I just hope that people on this thread don't start criticizing "Coaching" like what is being said about the Men's Coach. Both the Men's and Women's team suffer from the same problem, lack of talent.

I am glad one poster in this thread is finally recognizing that there is a huge talent disparity between our team and our ACC competition. As the losses pile up, the character of this team will be tested. Effort, hustle, discipline, can all suffer in situations like this. This team throws the ball away way too much to win even where the talent disparity isn't very large. This season, I feel, isn't going to change much, but there is hope for next year, with maturation of the current young players, the new players we signed for next year, and the key: Bringing in some tough, experienced, talented post players, 6-3 and taller, from the transfer portal, and in order to secure those kind of players, it will take a significant financial commitment!

I hope you'll be supporting this event since NIL is your cause.

Who is accountable for the talent? BC doesn’t have more NIL $$ than us.

We do not have the NIL of the top ACC teams but getting blown out by 41 to a peer team with similar talent and NIL is concerning. BC does a great job of identifying talent, we have struggled to find it

"Who is accountable for the talent" ...By your question, clearly you don't see the big picture and what is going on here! I don't know if Bc has more NIL $$ than we do, but clearly, they have more talent!! I know this for a fact: Some top talent they we recognized and offered, and who were interested in us, ruled us out because they got a better financial offer from another school that we couldn't match. Where we are, is that we are going to have to figure out a way to be successful without the type of talent, that we have gotten in the past.

The coaches are accountable!! There, I will answer it for you. Like Kelly said, “NIL my ass” as I can’t say it any better.

Worst game I've seen and I was there to watch the season after Q got fired. It's January and coach hasn't found a team from her roster that plays well together, what in the world is going on? NIL my ass.
Agreed. The coaching has been very poor, despite the talent gap.

I’ll add that if you lose by 41, you either lost the team and/or everyone gave up.

All the switches FLJ is making to the line up each game isn't inspiring confidence in anyone, including me and the people that sit next to me. No Coach Ludwig this year, I wonder how much of an impact that has as well.

When you lack talent you will try anything to see if it works. That‘s why the lineup changes. Red is forced to do the same thing.

I didn’t watch the game, but I’m curious if they played hard, despite the talent gap? Not sure how they could have given the score. That to me is also concerning. FLJ had some games last year where coaching not talent cost us.

There were a lot of turnovers and plenty of dumbass passes. The 1st quarter was dreadful, the rest of the game looked like desperation play.

I'm not completely convinced that it's lack of talent on this team. Wood, Woolley, Wilson, & Varejao are pretty damn talented but we have no talented point guard or at least one that is well coached and able to lead the rest of the team.
