Women's Lacrosse SU at Northwestern (9-6): Thurs Mar 12, 8 PM

I can't really explain how happy I am for this team to get this win, against that team, against their former teammate, in that venue. I truly think that this team is growing up in front of our eyes. There have been a few lineup changes that have been made since those first few games that I think have made a big difference. Huge shout out to Mackenzie Rich. She was overlooked since transferring in from UNC and could have walked away after last season but she came back with this new staff and it has paid off. She has helped this offense tremendously and is very tough going to the cage when the shot clock winds down. I think there is still room for improvement, especially in the midfield but for now lets just take another minute to soak in that victory.

This warms my heart…

Great performance by Guzik, just shows how elite she is. Still waiting…. For someone else to step up.

Defense was outstanding. Impressive how they shut down Taylor.

Can’t help but fear that draw controls will bite them in the butt versus a top notch team.

Northwestern isn't a top notch team?

Just saw that Princeton beat Penn State on 3/15. I can't lie - I found this gratifying and am hoping for more PSU losses this season. I am pretty sure this makes me a bad person...Oh, well, something I will just have to live with.

I hope State Penn loses every game in every sport from now until the end of time.

And then loses some more.

And then they all go to Hell.

… but maybe that’s just me.

same here, you are not a bad person
I tried my best to give KT all the excuses connected to relative youth- self-absorption, reduced distress tolerance, inexperience, passion without the constraints of rationality, avoidance of responsibility, etc., but the more information I received about what she had put her team through, the less sympathetic I grew until now the kindest thing I can think of to say about her is that she is a young woman in serious need of some painful life lessons...so here's hoping for a lot more losses and a cascade of lessons!
