This ACC court interviewer, holy cow is she over dramatic with her annunciations. Yikes, hope she's not an SU grad
Didn't notice that. I doubt she is in Dallas. But who knows.

Huge road win. Beat SMU and the officials. I have to say a bunch of the fouls in the 4Q were warranted. But it was called so unevenly. Felicia did not look overly happy at the end. Haven't heard her press conference yet. But we turned a comfortable lead most of the game into a cardiac ending.

How was that a “cardiac” ending?

We were up double digits pretty much all game.

They hit a late 3 to cut it to 9.
That’s 3 possessions, best case scenario.

And then they didn’t press us or foul us, and we basically ran out the clock.

And won by 9.

Never in doubt.

SMU pressed full court in the 2nd half and it seemed to tire us out. After working to get it over half court, we seemed to have issues initiating our half court offense. We hurried some shots not using the clock and not being in position to rebound. SMU had more energy later in the game than we did. We had issues containing SMU’s Jah that last quarter.

I agree, Great Win! Some positive signs: Sophie Buckets...hitting 3's is huge for our offense. With our defense, if we become a great 3 point shooting team with Burroughs, Phaelia, Potts, Schmitt and Dom on occasion, will have the ability to blow a game open as we did in the first quarter of this game...or wipe out a double digit lead quickly. I still think we need to go inside to Uche more! She missed some easy ones today, but when she has a mismatch inside and gets really confident in her inside scoring, this team will be really tough to beat and in every game they play. Defense is the key...Coach needs to continue to harp on rebounding and defense...I like this group very much. We have really good depth and the key will be who we sub in...for how much time...and when. Guards: Velez...I think she and Dom both turn the ball over too much for point guards, but Dom brings so much else to the table...I just hope she gets better in that area. Schmitt got more run today(I think some of Velez's time) and I think she should continue to get more time...but she has to start making her 3 ball. I would like to see the freshman point guard get some more time as the season goes on...but there are only so many minutes to go around. Phaelia can't keep playing 35+ minutes per night and Coach needs to come up with the ideal sub for her. These are all goood problems to have. Our Bigs rotation and depth is good...as long as Uche stays out of foul trouble. let's go Orange.
