I was just going to say would be nice if this ended up in a larger news place. Who even cares about this Iran stuff when there’s bombshell articles like this. Kidding of course but hopefully someone reads this article and gives this guy a bigger gig.

Missed this thread here, and posted a couple of times on the football related post. Yea. There is absolutely no way she can be the AD. The Pitt lawsuit should have killed it right there. Proud Newhouse alum here. Leave it to our students to put this story out there. Whether it was leaked or however they got it. Daily Orange exists largely on private donations, and we should all donate to them asap. I do happen to donate to them as a really good friend, who is a pretty successful journalist and got her start at the DO, sends me a link to donate to the DO every year.

The unfortunate part of big corporate machines like this is that she has been in the system festering for a year now. A year ago she already went through all the rigor and interviews and had plenty of people involved vouching for her.

Now all those people would have to say they were dead wrong and fall on their swords too which I assure you doesn’t happen often.

I hate it but I’ve seen this happen at my corporate before actually several times.

Appears way more clear now how much Kent sucks for doing this but there is also a real chance that one of his departing gifts could’ve been to rig up the selection process by putting his people and that special counsel person in the hiring process to have the pieces fall how he wanted.

I don’t get why he would even care about leaving us with an AD succession plan if he knew he was leaving too.

You are so right about the corporate machine not wanting to admit a mistake. My wife just left a job because of a toxic boss. Group has had 100% turnover in last year and everyone knows it’s because the manager is terrible and they still double, triple down on the bad mgr.

He has been at Akron less than 1 year. Many ties to SU though. IDK if he was interviewed.
