Colin, that did not age well.Who the hell is Colin Dunlap
That looks like a text from 2024.Radio host with KDKA in Pittsburgh.
It’s strange to me that the post
Standard wasn’t investigating this and the daily orange picked this up
Culture of intimidation is much different than meanySomeone (who doesn't particularly like Lyke) leaked that report to the Daily Orange. I'm not sure how much "investigating" occurred? Looks like the reporter tried to interview Lyke, Jackson, and someone from HR and the AD's Office and they were given no comment or the standard University PR response.
The complaint itself was basically BS. I don't know the veracity of the allegations, but the allegations were basically "she's a meany."
The more interesting articles would be why she was foisted upon the Athletic Department in the first place and more sleuthing on the alleged "culture of intimidation."

LacrosseThat's an eye-opening read. Sounds like the university will be getting a lot smaller very soon. I have to wonder if having 20 varsity athletic programs even makes sense, never mind an AD who values them all equally. The priorities should be football and hoops. That's our identity. That's where the money is.
I've heard lots of bad things about her. She's one of the highest paid admins on the hill (behind Kent) clocking in at over 7 figures too.Posted on football side too - is Candace Campbell Jackson following Kent out the door? Is she under further investigation if she cut this "investigation" off?

I agree with you, but in a world where people form opinions from headlines, it *should* be enough to make any new chancellor to pass.Complaint kind of seems like a nothing burger outside of the undermining of wildhack. The other parts just seem silly. Definitely strikes me as a bit of a petty squabble with the leak and then some strong narrative driving but I guess whatever it takes to not hire a failed former athletic director
Except the examples don’t actually layout a “culture of intimidation” according to the complaintCulture of intimidation is much different than meany
Waste of money better served on bidding for the best new basketball coach we can find.I've heard lots of bad things about her. She's one of the highest paid admins on the hill (behind Kent) clocking in at over 7 figures too.
Kent hired her. She’s his chief of staff and svp. One of the most powerful individuals on the administrative side along with Haynie. And she’s old friends with Heather from law school. What’s the connection between Kent and her?

So does she leave with Kent or does Haynie like her too? And can anyone confirm that Haynie liked Lyke? I think Mike will do well but if that is true .....Kent hired her. Hard to read into it, but it does sound like the complainant was fearful for retaliation and that others were being targeted as well but did not want to put their jobs in jeopardy.I agree. The complaint alleges that Lyke contributed to a culture of intimidation. I read that to mean, one existed and she was feeding into it. I'd like to know more about how such culture was allegedly created, and what Wildhack and the myriad other AADs were doing to contribute or manage it. (or was the accuser/alleged victim just exaggerating)
I believe they all have the Univeristy of Michigan roots in common, including Kent.Kent hired her. She’s his chief of staff and svp. One of the most powerful individuals on the administrative side along with Haynie. And she’s old friends with Heather from law school.
There are reports earlier in this thread and possibly others that Mike Haynie does like her; that she is one of the 4 candidates interviewed and that those with sources say as late as last night that she is still in the running if not likely to get the job, inspite of the D.O. article and her history at Pitt. Just reporting what I've seen on here; no independent sources. So does she leave with Kent or does Haynie like her too? And can anyone confirm that Haynie liked Lyke? I think Mike will do well but if that is true ...
